Don’t buy the Winchester double x they are bad look at the boxes , bought a box half the shells were bad and they won’t let you return them, happened to me last weekend , they  were going to take them down but looks like they didn’t, they said they would discount if I bought another box but couldn’t take them back , so I grabbed long beard instead of the double x they did discount them at 100% but made me take the bad ones, but I had to complain very much to get them to do it, check the shells before buying 

I don't see the idea behind the small shot. Sure you may get a lot of small holes in paper at 50 yards but you aren't going to penetrate the bones of a turkey head and neck with 9 shot at that distance or further. Besides isn't the point of hunting turkey to try and outsmart the bird with the brain the size of a peanut and call them in close. Shooting turkeys at extreme distance is the equivalent of sky busting waterfowl.  Learn to be even a moderately competent caller and get the birds inside 50yd.

Took a ride to sportsman's Warehouse to grab some more turkey loads. Got some more LBxr 18.99 box of 10. TSS #9 shot 49.99 box of 5. "#9 shot is Illegal in New York for turkey but they had it anyways ". Would be nice to see more shells in #7 or #8 at least that's legal to shoot.

I would like to see how 3 or 3 1/2 in #8 are out of the gun at 60 tho . Can't find any good rounds in smaller shot than #6.

O man.... This can go on and on , but for the performance and price per round can't beat LBxr. Best pattern for me and u get 10 in a box. YouTube videos I watch , LBxr is the best with tss being 2nd most of the time. I just don't see spending more money and getting 5 shells less for tss.

How often done u guys get northerns out there trolling? That's #2 so far. I know I'm near shore and by Braddock's but I haven't been out that many times .

Got out for a couple hours this morning , Payne beach to lighthouse. 1 for 2 . Landed a northern , lost a brown . Wind was a touch to much to get a good troll . It kept trying to spin/push me not ideal but worked , took a little bit more horsepower that's all.

Wow. It’s all about you guys.
Can’t give up fishing for a couple weeks or a month??
New York State is the Covid capital of the world .
Between 700 and 800 people a day or dying in New York City.
It’s all about you guys.
Let’s say your buddy Dave lives in NYC and he decides that a couple of buddies and he want to go fishing .
Boat launches are still open so off they go.
Did I say it’s all about you guys?
Dave was exposed to Covid 5 days ago.
So in the truck his buddies are now exposed. They stop for fuel. Some kid working the cash gets exposed.
An hour later they stop for a meal.
More people exposed.
They get to the launch and fish all day. They come in when you come in.
You pull a 15 lb brown out of your boat and everyone runs over to congratulate you.
Well congratulations, you forget about the 6’rule now you are exposed and going to take it home to your loved ones.
This probably won’t happen but something like this happened because that is how we all got into the ****SHOW we are in now!

Skunked today not even a nibble. Fished Payne beach to lighthouse. That nice water I was in the other day is gone. Nothing in that gin and tonic. I tried everything .

Had plans to fish the finger lakes this morning but that fell through. So I took the kayak out to lighthouse. Had trouble finding good color and nothing in the clear water until I hit the point . That nice dirty green . Changed up to fire tiger uv and soon as I get the rod in the holder and straighten out the kayak rod fires . I land that little guy quick pic, get back to that spot for another pass. I get both rods set start my troll uv again fires and it's a good brown about 8 lbs . It goes nuts at the kayak and 1 of the hooks must have cut my line. "By UV"[emoji23]. As I'm drifting now pissed off I just lost my new lure, my other rod fires .... Here we go again at the yak crazyness is happening and snap .... #bybayrat. If I only had my net with me[emoji848]. Got 1 more little guy on orange rapala. 2 for 4 and down 2 lures for 17$ and net is still 20 miles away at buddy's house. What a fun day on the water !!

Trolled from Payne beach to lighthouse . Light wind no waves first thing was mint, then it got breezy and waves picked up and made speed a problem. 1 for 3 just couldn't keep them pinned with the waves causing slack in my line when I reach for the rod out of the rod holder. #bayrats

Depends where u launch out of with certain wind directions . Use your head that's all. See any changes in wind , ripples on the water, waves changing "cap" , hourly wind speeds are going to pick up as the day goes on and you see changes , that means you go home .

Well I got some new updated pictures for you guys...... I made a plate for you , guys can fight amongst the one piece over there. Lol did a lemon pepper with a minced garlic clove from the garden and some butter on the grill too much fish not doing a side ,maybe a slice of banana nut bread for dessert. I will say for salmon or trout this is got to be the best. I'll be doing this till the fish move off shore. I sorry guys for u not being able to make it [emoji20]
