Thanks guys !!! I was told it is a coho ? Red meat? I'm not good at ID salmon , I like perch but was told this fish don't get any better for the salmon/trout. Can't wait till dinner at 5 tonight !! Not sure if I want to do mesquite or Bourbon brown sugar.

Yeah buddy,
I wanted to catch a salmon in the kayak and this morning I found silver. What a fighter for its size , most of the time it was in the air . Crazy fish id have to say. Caught a northern that surprised the heck out of me . Big head, long , and spawned out. I landed 2 nice browns . 4 for 5 again. #BayRats. This more fun than I thought. Something must be in the water cuz these fish fight crazy.

It's stable , I stand up and flip for bass in the summer . Thinking about getting a trolling motor for it. Today was awesome but paddling got old .

Launched at Braddock's , flat lined 2 rods out the back with bayrats , took a min to dial in but found a patch of color that kept them rods firing. Fighting them without moving after a hook up is unreal, they had some nice jumps to. I will doing that again Soon.

When u go just keep a eye out for cracks , this is when they will open up at any moment. That 10 to 12in of ice is half white/ black.

10in to 12 out of Taft today. Rain melted the snow some slush but more water than slush 1in or so of slush/water ( Rubber boots). Bite was good , tight to the bottom. Buddy's did better than me today . They limited out and had some nice perch. I could only find perch .

Had a good day on Oneida !! Got a quick limit of eyes and off to find the perch only found a handful of them with a couple eyes in between. What a beautiful day !!

 fished oneida  couple days ago and we did 21 eyes and  15 perch!   ice was around 10 inches. I dont think we are going to make it to laker waters so going to keep chasing eyes around. We did sneak the center console out on the 11th in the lake and played with a bunch of browns biggest was  in the 12-13 range!   

3 for 5 on flags today at braddocks , nothing big 4 to 7lbs. Ice is the same 5in in most areas. Past the docks about 50 yards or so ice is shot .

Went to sodus today . I was on 6in of ice with some slop on top but not to bad. It was slow but a steady bite, took home 20. Tip downs were the only thing working for the bigger ones

The ice at braddocks passed the docks is frozen float ice/ frozen snow use extreme caution out there and the docks as usual. In front of the loop and a the launch 5in of ice .
What a day today !! Good pike action !! Buddy's son had a blast running around catching pike and it's nice to have a minnow man to much walk-in .

The ice at braddocks yesterday was just about shot. The water was almost to the docks , snow on top of the ice is causing it to sink ,and shore ice is thin and wet. Now with more snow and wind who knows how it will hold up. Be safe.

2 for 2 on flags today at Braddock's, Horrible ice. If u are over 150 lbs don't go out. 1 hit with the Spud in most spots. 5 guys out past the docks open water not far from them . That's to far off shore for me to go in .

Fished honeoye on Friday was slow for me just a hand full of jumbo gills. Ice was 3 1/2.

Fished Sunday at sodus was slow untill 1pm, then they started biting. Ice was 6in where I was.

Today I fished braddocks went 2 for 3 on flags , one 34in 9lbs , and a 19in . I didn't measure the ice but I would say 4 to 5in , I wouldn't be surprised if u can find a soft spot that sun was hot today.
