  1. Welcome aboard! I'm out by otisco lake. Bass fisherman and a little bit of tiger musky as well. Can't wait for the spring, going to be a good year this year Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  2. Nice! I know someone who got a 44" off the main lake yesterday. I'm coming home in two weeks for the weekend, hoping to get back into some tigers Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. After much trial and error with reels I think I finally found one that'll stick. I have 2 curado, 2 revos + a revo rocket (9.0:1), and lews team lite. I love my curados for durability with the exception of the thumb button which always seems to break. Lews reels are solid but I have to give my hand to abu right now. They have great stuff. Their whole revo line is spectacular. Depending on how much you want to spend they have a wide range of top quality reels Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. Let me know if you get rid of any of your stradics/casting and spinning rods/reels Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  8. Hahaha. I've seen a few from this forum, but have never caught one myself. A get a lot of weird pike in Canada, sometimes ones with their gills hanging outside their head. Weird, but I guess they can still live Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. If this happens to be the same fish than man is he one dumb fish. That'd be close to 10 confirmed catches on him lol. I've seen a couple others too, and would assume that it's more likely there's multiple Humpy doppelgängers. It makes sense since they are stocked that it's a stocking injury, but it's possible it could be due to poor handling or something along those lines, but I'm just guessing. 10. Where'd you see him at? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  11. I got out at 7:30 this morning and it was packed. Couldn't get the spot I wanted (the guy who caught the tiger did). Had to call a quick audible and scatter my tip ups between huts which was far from ideal. Didn't really bother to fish for gills today. No flags in 5 hours. Frozen everything, tough day. But hey, it's fishing. The guy who got the tiger told me he had caught that one last year. It had a hump back. It also had a line in its mouth on a snell hook that I took out of it. Weird looking fish, about 33-34". He also got one that looked to be about 28. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  12. The whole lake got its first coating of ice last night. Frozen from the South end to the North end Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  13. Thanks for everything [emoji106]🏻 love this forum, great community Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  14. Ice kind of sketchy today. Very mushy at shore, half of the bay through the narrows narrows is open water. Not much Ice to work with, the wind is killer. On the bright side, got about 45 sizeable gills today. Someone I talked to got a 34" tiger early on. Stay safe, I may try Tully Lake tomorrow for some crappie Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  15. ^ This kind of stuff shouldn't happen Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  16. You too. I'll be out for two hours or so tomorrow as well just for kicks. Not gonna bother with tip ups though Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  17. I should've mentioned, only 25 out of those would've been worth keeping if we had kept anything today, moonfish Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  18. Fished all day today. Panfish very slow. Between two of us we got about 75 for the whole day. The flags were pretty good today, 4/5 with one really nice bass. No tigers. A guy next to me said he caught and released a 43 this morning on dead bait. Ice is 2-6" throughout the bay. Closer to dam the thicker, I drilled holes all over the place. 19. Exactly, NPike. Otisco gets a lot of pressure through the ice. I'll be out today and I'll give another update Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  20. Give a shout when your down pikefreak. And Sounds good Andrew, let me know when you are coming up, I'd love to fish with ya. Hoping to get into a tiger or two tomorrow, gonna focus more on the tip ups rather than the gills tmrw Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  21. No problem. pikefreak, just the north end by the dam. The whole lake usually takes awhile to freeze over Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  22. Solid couple hours out there, darkness crept up on me fast. I'll be out tomorrow as well. Got about 50-60, 25 keeper size. Perch and gills. No crappie, everyone I've talked to hasn't even seen one come through so far. Guy out there got 4 tigers, biggest being 28. Found out a 37" was also caught and released yesterday. I had one flag go up but was off by the time I ran over. Ice is anywhere from 2-4", thicker in the middle. Bigger gills coming up from bottom if you can get past the millions of 4 inch perch. Lots of holes drilled out there so watch your footing. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  23. Spot on Justin. Wasn't looking to start a debate with this thread, just would've liked to have heard it was released. I'm walking out now, Black and grey frabill hut, if you see me and your from the forum stop on in. Stay safe fishing everybody. Will keep ya posted with how I do. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  24. 5 + cars out on lake today. Somebody got a 40" tiger, kept it unfortunately. Looking to head out tmrw afternoon. Everything's ready to go, just hoping the ice will be as well Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  25. Got about 2 1/2 - 3 inches out there by the dam as of today. I walked out to scout it out, there was one guy out there for a few hours. Seems to be a big soft spot running through the middle of the ice, so be careful if anyone's going out. I'm waiting for at least two more cold days like we have had, but we'll see if the forecast flops and brings us some nice cold weather. Stay safe out there, let's keep this a running thread for the season. Hope to see what everyone gets ! Good luck out there. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
