I have 2 boats 16 ft side console , 2 riggers, 21 ft hardtop . 2 riggers I fish each different. I love my 16 ft . 95 % of the time I use 1 line on each rigger and do well . If on occasion I put out a,dipsey , it changes the whole dynamic of my presentation . I loose my ability to turn on a dime and my ability to be nimble, if that makes sense. 2 rods with a slider each ( which I never use) should be enough . With small boat tactics , we have a huge advantage over bigger boats to be able to stay on fish when we Mark them or hook up . Bigger boats with boards and junk lines take forever to turn and get back over pods of fish . There advantage , among others , is ability to cover a lot of water . You aren't a big boat so don't try to be one . I fish LO . I target kings mostly in the fall but this spring early summer I hammered them by running 2 flasher setups . The flashers call the fish to me . If fishing shallow , less than 50 ft maybe an in line planer with a stickbaits or deep diver or short core to get away from boat . But less is more IMO . Run what you have out correctly. I fish alone mostly

Went up to see the hatchery during the run this year . I could not believe the amount of people I saw in the area . A lot of money changing hands . They ain't ever going to close the Salmon river during the run . It's the crown jewel of the fishery . And it remains to be seen if there will be a noticeable drop in kings the next few years . And if there is, can't be great every year . We had stellar lake fishing this year . And a poor return on the Salmon . Maybe that's because Nat reproduction is more widespread that popular belief . I'll take a wait and see approach .

Unless waterfront tax rates are higher than the rest of the municipality , the reason waterfront owners pay more taxes is because the property is worth more . Which is a,good thing . And the property owners decision to purchase or to hold on to it . And assessment is what fair market value is,. I worked on a few houses on Old Edgemere drive , which I have seen on the news that since the law passed , anyone would be crazy to buy IMO. So the market value , as a lot of other property , has dropped . So the assessment should drop . But better watch out . When this situation becomes the new norm or gets worse and they condemn your property as uninhabitable or insurance will not insure it , they will give you the lower value to buy you out .

I have had experience with 2 aluminum boats that leaked 1 mine ,1 a friends . First priority was to find out where leaks was . We filled the boats with water in the driveway . Mine had 2 rivets ,I tightened then I put some sealer over them and it stopped it . My friends was leaking where the transom bottom.met the hull by the keel about a foot left and right . He wound up having someone weld it and it stopped .

They screwed up when they passed 2014 . They took a gamble that the lake would not go as high as it did. And it started to rain like cats and dogs the minute they closed the gates all over the great lakes watershed , and it turned around and bit them on the ass . THATS CALLED KARMA . The simple question is , as soon as it was safe downstream ,and the minute the Ottawa river receded , are they releasing the absolute max out ? FULL well knowing that we are 18" above normal , and above us is at record highs , if they are and have been at max release , thanks for trying . If not then they are playing us like fools .

I fish light stuff a lot . I love braid for all of my bass fishing . I have maybe 10 setups of different actions . Can't beat it for feel and hook set But for ultra light to light panfishing and trout for me it's Mono hands down . Small jigs with small hooks set easy . I have 2 rigs that have 5 # braid and they are great , but jigs, under a float or ultra light , the lighter braid gets funky and has a tendency to knot up when casting , and it's hard to untangle when it does it. . A 6 /6 or 7 ft ultra light with 6 Or 4 # would be perfect IMO .

Depending on the rod , I would use clear 4 # or 6# Trilene XL I don't think Flouro should be needed for panfish with light line . .
