  1. I have always ran braided line for my dipsies. It seems like most of you guys like the wire better. I have been thinking about switching. I will run 2 magnum divers and 2 divers that are the next size down. What does the wire do to the dive chart for them ? I have seen a lot of posts with divers running back 200-250' back. Is there something out there that that shows line out to depth? Or is there a general rule for letting it out ? The other question is color. Is there one that works better ? The one I have are firetigger, char/green, char/Orange. Should I just paint them black ? I also broke down and bought the fish hawk x4. What is your guys advise on where to mount the head unit. Thanks for any help. You guys are awesome. Definitely help my learning curve. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  3. We ended up having a pretty good day. We had been struggling but with the help from you guys helped a lot. We ended up with 3 nice steelhead. We lost 3 more. One of with I'm pretty sure was a big king. It took 2 big runs on me and than a couple headshakes and he was gone. Everything was on stinger spoons in 315-370 fow and 45-70 feet down. Thanks for the help I appreciate it Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  6. I stay at Mil's Cottages. Most of the fish were caught around Bluff island. I can't take credit for the fish. The guy that owns our cabins posted them. I was just stating the fact that the water level has helped the fishing. The last 2 years we were there in June and the fishing was bad. 7. That's awesome. Seems like the high water did some good for the fishing. Can't wait to get up there in Middle August. Here are some of the fish that have been caught near where I stay in Clayton Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  11. The copper is something that I ran for walleye on lake erie. It is the bloodrun walleye copper. It is the same setup that Don Rupert from okuma runs. I don't know how many feet it was but I have shrink tubing along the copper. According to the dive chart from bloodrun it is my second tubing. They are running off boards. The setup that I have is a okuma classic pro glt, connector 45 reel with 300 feet of walleye copper and 300 yards of braid behind it. The fishhawk will be my next purchase. I have a guy that I use for Charters. I have used sparky Charters a few times but it has been up on the lower river for trout. He is pretty awesome. But if someone on here is willing to take me out and teach me some things that would me awesome Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Awesome job Colton. Some guys fish and never catch one. I've caught a little of pike but that one has alluded me so far. That will be a memory he won't soon forget. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. I know one of them was a michigan stinger. I added a pic of them. I was also using a purple clown and a mixed veggie. I have a lot of spoons that I'm not sure what they are. Last year Danny Colville set me up a bunch of stuff. I was going 2.5 - 3.2 on the fishfinder. I don't have a fishhawk let. Hopefully soon. I have been just using the info that I have seen on here til I can afford it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Just wondering if anyone was fishing at the bar today any caught anything ? I'm still learning but I struggled today again. I started at the red can and started trolling east. I was in 120 - 325 fow. I think I only marked 2 fish. Didn't really see anyone going for a net. I was running 6 lines. 2 riggers at 80 and 70 with a flasher/crinkle green fly and a spoon on the other. 2 dipsy set at 2.5 about 200 feet back. One with a fly and spoon. 2 copper lines set about 30 feet down. Does anyone see a problem with what I was doing today ? Any help would be appreciated. 22. Hello everyone. I'm taking a couple friends out in the morning. One has never been in a boat but loves to fish. The other one has motion sickness and takes pills for it. I'm trying to make it as easy as possible for them. I haven't been on the lower river since March. Is the launch in Lewiston or the fort ok to use ?
