  2. 5 fish box, no more than 3 lakers, no points per fish, weight only, and max of 9 rods in water right. I agree with 2pm weigh in! Dan Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. That's $90 for Brett and $90 for me! ..Lol Honestly I am just hoping to not get skunked! This might be my last trip of the year. Good luck everybody! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  6. Oh boy... just as the dust has started to settle on my Lund, and the sweet smell of lake O kings has disappeared from my deck, and the deer started to feel a bit nervous.... Another tourney to consider! So Brett and I would be pulling in at 1:29 then! Kinda wish it was a little later on weigh in! R we in Brett? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. I always use power pro as backing. It is pricy but feel its worth it. Prefer the small diameter but high strength ratio u don't get with mono Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. I have never rigged without the mono section I figured it would help the boards grip on and less wear and tear on backing. Is that accurate? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Does anyone use small section of mono between backing and lead core? I use either 30 or 40# in between to attach in line boards. I use Albright on one end and Willis on the other. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Good job on the king! Were u in 35 fow? Any pix? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. I use Willis for leadcore to mono, Albright for power pro to mono, and haywire for copper to swivels and shrink tube the twist. Use small but strong swivels such as spro. No issues so far! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. I fished in front on labor day in roughly 80 or 90-110 picked up one on chrome j plug on dipsey out 160. Most others on spoons biggest 23# Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Agreed the paint is crap on stingers sometimes it only takes a couple of fish before the spoon is unrecognizable. B fuller spoons have thee best paint jobs of any spoon I run! As far as bending goes ... I have a stinger mag that was folded nearly in a "v" and I "straightened" as best I could and it still catches fish. It has a real nice wobble now. Go figure. 14. I fished out of sandy on Saturday and I feel your pain and frustration. ( refer to that post for details)We decided we would launch out of the Genny today. We were fortunate to find a mix bag of fish...browns, steelhead and kings. Ended up going 14 for 16 with 8 kings of various size with biggest at 23#. We worked 70-110 fow with most coming in 90. 7 color, dipsey at 160 range, 225, 275 copper and 45-55 rigger all produced. Not really a flasher fly bite. spoons kos, alewife, melon, nk frog, chrome j plug, took most fish. Had a nice steelie put on a brief show then got off, looked in 10# range that hit a blue frog with hammer fly. I am experiencing less flasher fly bites lately and more on spoons. Most spoons I ran were 3-1/4 / nk 28 size not mags.. For what that is worth. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. We did a loop out to 200 briefly and the screen was blank and no hits. One of those days I guess. The 4 footers did not help either. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. Laker action in 85-110 fow is all we could find today. Trolled mainly east of shoot then picked up and deployed in front of the nose for a troll back to port. Lakers were east never moved a rod after the move. Boated 1 skipper king on the copper with carbon 14. Saw marks in 50-60 down over 80-120 fow. Not sure what they wanted today. First mature king skunk of season. I think Sandy is mad cuz I cheated on her and fished out of Mexico last week. Lol! I talked to guy at launch and he skunked out too, other boats in sight didn't budge their net from what I could see. Dan Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Yeah...! What cdgn Troller said! Lol! Good going on your fish:) Those 30#+ kings sure do fill up a net. Dan Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Today and last weekend Most of my kings were boated between 12 and 5pm. That being said I will be up at 430am to get on water at first light! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. That has got to be an awesome experience doing that out of a kayak! I hope I see you out there sometime hooked up! It would make for a sweet video ... Have you considered a Gopro? Dan Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. Thanks mwolf451 for wave reports. With a north blow what you see helps a ton! Saves me from driving out there and wasting gas and time. I hope tomorrow is calm like they are forecasting! Dan Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. Could you motor out a few miles and report the wave conditions too? Lol:) Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. He did take the Bonine but I only had him take 1 instead of 2 thinking the lake was gonna be calm. Ooops! Thanks for help. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. That would make sense based on what I saw! Sure wish it was like it was on Sunday! Dan Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. When I got to the channel I looked back and saw a flat calm lake. Amazing how deceiving it can be out there. I do 90% of fishing on the finger lakes so it is taking me a bit to adjust to lake O. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. the central lake buoy was showing a 2 foot wave this morning and I was experiencing some that seemed bigger. I thought I was at the ocean hearing the waves breaking around me. I would have stayed if not for my boys and wanting them to enjoy the trip. I also had to return to work because my help cx on me. As stated earlier it was more fishable inside of 150 but I had another agenda!! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
