I am interested in your feedback on the Panther steering system. In particular I am looking into connecting it to an autopilot system like raymarine or garmin. Is anyone using the panther steering in connection with there chartplotter. Thank you for the feedback.

I am using the Garmin Reactor 40 AP with the Octopus rotary cable drive. I connected a GPSMAP and all the program manuvers work. It was very plug and play but you will need to follow the instructions. Very low power consumption!
Not a bad install at all.

I am looking forward to adding a panther to a kicker with ap control.

A con are significant if you try to use a transducer with an overlapping frequency. A transducer frequency difference of +20 is required or in the case of multi frequency scanning system you will need to program the system to stop the usage of the common range. It is important to understand that a transducer with a published frequency of 50 may vary +/- the publicized frequency. The fishawk is 70+/-])

Selling my PS30 with an extra transom mount - it's in perfect working order & basically brand new - asking $1050 firm, plus UPS shipping if necessary.  Mounted on the boat last weekend and used it for only a few minutes on Cayuga yesterday lol - it's in perfect (new) working order.  I thought I might use it for deep jigging but found myself resorting back to traditional 2D view.  I also purchased a heavy-duty Rytek Marine (RTG1400, $185 retail) transom mount for it which is included.  The (unused) factory Garmin transom mount is also included, plus all paperwork and extras.  Will deliver within a reasonable distance if possible (located in N PA), or ship UPS for extra fee if delivery is not an option.  Message with any questions, will be posting on classifieds shortly, thanks.

The Sodus Bay ramp is usable next to the channel. The channel is was not usable on 3/21.

I think you can but it is shallow. The ramp is still in the water. I am concerned about where the end is and if its flat. I will check is weekend.

This appears to be a well organized salmon tournament series on Lake Michigan. It looks like a great organization model for Lake Ontario tournaments. I am interested in your opinions and get on a tournament team.

I would add that you need to stay with natural colors in the spring until the 4th of July. After that start to adding in whites and greens paddles.

All my reels from 30 to 60 series are plus 6 to 1 ratios and I would not buy anything else. If I was to try to find a negative it would be that you need the stay calm to not over reel the fish.
