In case your still looking, Torpedo website has them. They were waiting on a shipment and I asked if they would notify me when they came in. They just did. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I chase land locked stripers when alewife come in to shallow water to spawn earlier in the year. I assume they do something similar on the fingers? If so maybe that time of year would increase chances for better night fishing. Water temps would also be more conducive for predator fish higher in water column or in shallow. At least while catching bait. Lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’m not so worried about being at out at night. I actually do a lot of night fishing and have lights and proper safety/nav equipment. Just I’ve more focused on stripers and walleye. Sounds like most people don’t do it on fingers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So I’ve been trying to get to Cayuga or Owasco for a while now. Can’t ever seem to get a full day to come up fishing. Was thinking about making the drive up one evening but was wondering if it’s worth trying to troll into the dark. Say 11 or 12 o’clock at night. I’ve never tried it. I’m just trying to justify all the driving hours to get some fishing in.Does anybody have any luck trolling at night for trout or salmon? If so how does the pattern change? Move in shallow? Fish higher in column? Maybe not troll at all? Switch to jigging or casting? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Even if it’s just telling me I’d be wasting my time. Thanks all Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Here’s one that’s rated to 50 amps. Wire both riggers to one output. Good luck. You may be right, I’m not sure what you have for riggers but I think cannons have 25 amp breakers on them but I’m sure they operate at a much lower amperage. Maybe somebody on here knows or you could test one with a meter pulling up your heaviest weight. Dual output would probably solve your problem though if you can find one with that high amperage rating on both outputs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have not done it on a boat but have done it at work for sensitive electronics that need a solid 12v from a solar charging system. There’s no reason it won’t work. Here’s one that looks water resistant, and can handle the amperage of riggers. I had similar looking gold dust on my old merc outboard. It was from a worn brass starter gear. Possibly called the pinion? Anyway, it’s a brass on steel interface so the brass is what will eventually wear down. Mine wore to the point the teeth were so worn it would bind on the flywheel and cause starting issues. I’d start there. Was an easy fix. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

WTB -alumacraft trophy 205 bow cushions

You can still get them from alumacraft. They are just ridiculously expensive. Thought I’d try here in case someone had some they don’t use. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Yes I have done that in the past. It worked ok. This is an aluma craft trophy 205. It’s probably closer to 2500-3000 lbs but I’m betting the 36v still won’t be enough to be the stand alone propulsion for trolling plugs, cranks at 2-2.5 for extended periods. Maybe just when I’m live baiting at .5-1 mph. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi all, was wondering if a 36v is going to be enough for pulling around a 21’ boat while trolling? I have a trophy 205 that needs a tm but wondering if it will move it well enough. If you have one on a 21’ boat what’s your top trolling speed? I know I’ll probably need a kicker but can’t afford that right now. I could troll all day in a 17’ boat with 24v Terrova up to 3.5 mph but the trophy is a lot bigger. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ok, apparently nobody has done this? Now my question is if I can’t fit all 3 batteries in the one compartment, is there anything wrong with putting the 3rd one in the rear of the boat for the 36v system? Assuming I ran heavy gauge wires to it. It would actually be the second battery in the system that’s in the rear. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So this spring I’ll be picking up my new tyee. I want to start lining out my trolling motor/ battery and charger setup but am unsure about a few things. I’m hoping someone on here has one and can tell me the answers to my questions. Can you fit 3 batteries and a 3 bank charger in the factory battery compartment on the bow? I’ve only seen pictures of 2 batteries and I want to put on a 36v motor. Also, I would like to do a 72” shaft. Is there enough space on the bow gunnel without it hitting the windshield while in the stowed position? And will it clear the grab handle that is on the front of the tyee? Thanks all.
