  1. Mounted mine on marine board, helps a lot to get it mounted just right. The PS30 is a brick and made a big rooster tail. Bent some aluminum and made a spray guard. I was worried it was too close to the other transducers. Had zero issues with any of the transducers so close to each other. 100 percent plug in play. No black box or anything needed (assuming your chart plotter is compatible) Good luck with your install.
  2. I had a 18’ Lund and had zero issues. Now I have a Hewescraft. It’s a “tank” as are most manufactures boats on the west coast. Two vastly different price points.
  3. I do like to have matching setups. I have a total of 4 reels to spool up. Reel will hold a maximum of 450’ of copper.
  4. Looking for opinions on what length copper lines I should spool up. Reel capacity chart calculates I can fit a maximum 450’ of 32# copper, using 50# braid backer. Any thoughts on the following combinations: A. 1-200’ 2-300’ & 1-400’ B. 2-200’ & 2-300’ (snap weights to run deeper) C. Other suggestions? I have 4 wire divers or 2 braided divers, 2 DR’s and will be pulling big boards I appreciate any advice.
  5. (2) Penn Fathom II 30LWLC Used 1 summer. Daiwa Saltists were back ordered last year. Purchased the Penn’s to get me by. Great reel, just want all my reels consistent. includes boxes, paperwork and receipt. 1000’ of blood run 30# wire is on. Needs to be re-spooled with more backer. Or I can remove the wire if you don’t want it. $375 for both reels delivered. (lower 48) PayPal or Venmo
  6. SOLD Fish Hawk Mount (track mount) Tool Caddy (track mount) (2) Track mounts w/4” risers (2) Triple cross plates All of it for $200 delivered. (lower 48) Changed set up and no longer need. PayPal or Venmo I don’t want to separate items. Shipping costs would be too much $
  7. SOLD 6’ collapsible mast, dual reel with track mount. Bounced around the garage for 4-5 years. Never hit the water, lake I’m on is too small for big boards. $275 shipped to your door. (lower 48 only) PayPal or Venmo
  8. I also have several ordered from 2 online dealers, original ship date was April. Ship dates keep pushing. My Midway USA order originally said mid May. That has also pushed to June 5th. I have seen a few model 20 and model 50 on a some random sites. Amazon had a few as well.
  9. I have 6 reels orders from different shops. All have missed expected stock days, my last hope is MIDWAY USA. Told me June 5.
  10. I hook up more on the fish hawk probe side. But that may be to the fact I run the probe side deeper. Usually right on the thermocline or below. Generally put my “go to” setups on that line. It’s the first line I put out and the last line I bring in. I have a rear starboard side 2nd helm. I tend to favor starboard side turns as this is opposite side of my kicker and easier to watch the line. I run the fish hawk of the starboard side rigger. I’ve wondered if that is a factor?
  11. Tackle haven has some 8’ rods. Okuma big lake tournament series wire rod.
  12. Yes it’s in Sakakawea. Garrison Dam fish hatchery provides the stock for Oahe. Cisco and Rainbow Smelt are the main sources of food. Oahe and Ft. Peck generally have bigger fish then Sakakawea. Peck and Oahe have higher Cisco populations. At least that’s what I tell myself when I don’t catch big ones.
  13. I don’t. I’m not into ice fishing. Looks fun though.
  14. Not many people know that there are Kings in North Dakota. Anyway I’m from western NY, grew up trolling on Erie. Currently in North Dakota. I run a Hewescraft Ocean Pro 240 ( kinda sticks out like a sore thumb in Walleye country) Love the site and all the great info.
