Dipsy Chart & Line

Hey everyone, just got a diver and the chart I have is for 25lb mono. I was planning on using 12lb how does that affect diving depth in terms of diving more or less than on the chart? Any help appreciated - thanks!

Lighter line is not the way to go. Dipsey's pull hard by design. I know you will be donating alot of gear to the lake. Most of us use a stainless steel wire. The logic is much less stretch when manually releasing and also is more forgiving when you drive into weed pods. Read the posts on here about fishing with Dipsey's your ideas will change.

Agree with above...assuming you are targeting walleyes or such, you would run the 12lb from the dipsy to the lure only

Thanks for the info guys. Didn't think they heavy braid/wire was required for eyes or trout. Makes sense what you're saying though
