I'm sure most everyone knows but some may not know that Verizon has a radar app http://www.verizonwireless.com/mobile-living/apps/myradar-weather-radar/

I don't have a radar unit on my boat and don't intend on buying one. I don't know how far out onto the lake this will reach but it works for me. If you don't have radar this will work in a pinch as long as you get a signal
