Online registration for the NYS Winter Classic statewide Tournament and the NYS Ice Pro-Am Tournament Series events are now OPEN!! Early Bird registration runs through Sept. 30th with the following incentives:

Winter Classic: $5 discount per angler and a chance at a new Frabill Thermal Outpost Shelter

Ice Pro-Am Series: A chance at a new Aqua-Vu Micro Plus underwater camera system

 

Registration at the weigh-ins will start on Nov. 15th.

 

This year the Winter Classic will once again feature a cash payout based on number of anglers registered, Lunker Pool with a $500 kicker prize, and door prizes.

 

The Ice Pro-Am Series will include one Full IPA (Sodus Bay) with both a team division and an Open division, and 4 Team-Only events. The Full IPA will feature a cash payout for the team event and prize packages for the Open Division (with cash also if supported by enough anglers).

Many new sponsors have added to our line-up this year! Get all the details this weekend on our Facebook page and website!! If the winter stays warm, the IPA Series events may get canceled but the Winter Classic will go on as planned since anglers can fish the open water, rivers, tribs, etc. in addition to any safe ice that may form!!

Here is the run down on the prize pool in addition to the general cash payout and Lunker Pool Awards:


Every week the largest fish of each category weighed in will receive one of the following:


*$25 Automatic Fisherman Cash Award         


*$50 Deep Freeze Cash Award

*Automatic Fisherman Kit

*Cold Snap Cover & Gift Cert.

*$25 ADDYA Gift Cert. & HT Combo

*Bite Buddy & Hardwater Custom Rod

The largest fish entered each month will receive a Frabill Bunker 250 Hub Shelter

Due to warmer temps continuing beyond next week, we have made the decision to postpone the IPA Chaumont Bay and Sodus Bay events to their alternative dates:
Chaumont Bay Team-Only Event: January 30th
Sodus Bay Full IPA Event: February 20 & 21 (Capt. mtg Feb. 19)

All current registrations will be forwarded to the new dates. Stay current with the latest information at: www.NYSiceproam.com

 

 

The Winter Classic is still ready to begin on the 1st since all open waters, rivers, tribs, etc. are fair game as anglers take to their boats and fish from shore/piers. Tomorrow (Dec. 31st) is the last day to get in for the Frabill Bunker 250 Thermal Shelter drawing!!

So here is a run-down of what the $25 entry fee for this year's tournament is for:

Checked the website today!! Glad to see you got 500 people! That's great.

Not 500 yet - but there is a good possibility we will so we are posting the Top 5 fish weighed in (current Top 3 leaders and next two so that when we do reach 500 and the payout switches to Top 5 we don't have anglers who would have placed 4th or 5th and didn't weigh-in because they didn't know where #5 was. We got a good jump of registrations the last few days and hopefully that will continue through this week and into next weekend as the ice tournaments start to occur.

The NYS Ice Pro-Am Tournament Series Honeoye Lake Team Event is ON for this Saturday, Jan. 23rd. Teams can register online or at check-in tomorrow starting at 3am at the SE State Boat Launch.
