  1. Ray Your my Idol I would hate to see what would happen if you didn't like someone
  2. I run Seafoam in my gas it does all that and also stablizes the fuel I'm not sure were you would find it out there but it's a NAPA auto stores in Mass.
  3. Great news Billy.Wish I could be around to lend a helping hand.
  4. Eric I lose my signal down over 85 to 100 feet of cable and I put a wet rag on it and BAM!! no problems.Did you un crimp it or cut it off and redo it?
  5. Try taking a wet rag of some sort and wrap it around the spring and you will be good to go.Don't ask me why it does this but it does. This is one of the cons of buying an SNT probe. I have to do this on mine also just keep throwing water on it and walla. Hope this helps. if that doesn't work you can give Jeff at fish307 a call and he can get it for you.
  6. My hats off to you for what you have done for our country. Now is your time to sit back and enjoy.Welcome to the site.
  7. Mark it sounded like they were deep what was your avg depth for your riggers?
  8. Ray Ray PLEASE NO DETAILS I can't stand the visuals
  9. Rich glad to see you got the boat on the water and bless it with a couple of fish that'a a good way to start off the year . I took mine out yesterday for her first time out this year and she ran good my kicker coughed a couple of times then ran fine it must have been a hair ball Did you notice any thing different on your Furuno? I thought I had it hooked up to my GPS but It still doesn't work so I'm going to call Furuno today and see whats up. I love the new color GPS and it is much faster than my last one when tracking the boat can't wait to try out the fish and chip map of Lake Ontario I got with the Navionics gold map I got. Talk to you later I will try and give you a call later this week.
  10. Good point Billy I forgot about those days when I depended on the circuit breaker to restart the riggers.I have been spoiled with the auto stops. Sorry JammerI forgot about that .
  11. There is an auto stop function on the riggers and it uses the water as a conductor when the weight is down in the water the up switch will run by only hitting it up one time(You should have gotten a couple of spacer at the end of the cable that attaches to your weight) as soon as the spacer come out of the water it breaks the contact and your rigger should stop. I don't believe you can do it out of water to get the full effect of the short stop. There is a voltage that should be on the cable as it's in the water but I don't remember what it is Maybe someone else will chime in to help you out on that. Hope this helps.
  12. Rick great report it looks a little rough on the Lake in the first picture. I don't mean to ask a dumb question but what is a smart fish?
  13. Yankee Great job Hope it holds out for you.

  15. In the spring when you get a north wind it pushes the warm water in a wind coming off the shore will push the warm water out and suck cold water into shore. In the summer when the thermalcline sets up a north wind will push warm water to shore and push the thermal out deeper in the lake.If the wind comes off of the shore it will push all of the warm water out to the middle of the lake and push the colder water in close to shore. I'm by far not an expert. But I should be pretty close to answering your questions. If not someone will chime in As far as what the weather is going to be on any given day I would say when you get to the ramp then you will know what your up against. I have been fishing lake O for 25 years and the wave forecast has been right maybe 35% of the time  as far as NW to NE I would think that would depend on where you fish out of.I'm not sure.Just my opinion
  16. Yeah this really bums me out I have had Cannons on my boats for over 23 years this is the first time I have had problems
