About the same down here Les , that was the reason we didn't open all the way or bring boat up. Looking at Sunday or Monday now , boat and get everything else done...........................
Almost opened fish camp
Took a ride up yesterday do some outside work and Carol getting inside ready. Didn't have the water turned on yet so we made do without. Lake water level is way up compared to October when we pulled boat for lack of water , coming down the hill into Montour Falls , the falls were hamming water lots of run off now rain today. The monkeys will take care of Cayuga first I'm sure , we see...........hope to take boat up in less than a week and have Bob put the new
/upgraded lift system in.............
I have not been doing this anyways near the time Sk8 has but agree .
What I have seen is fish with or without fin clipped have orange meat. To me these are the best eating.
If I'm looking for one to eat I look for the fin tips to be colored ( white with a bit of orange ) also the skin is darker. Alec on here always said the orange meat color came from them eating mystic shrimp......
Last year the canal system maintained Cayuga and Oneida water level at summer pooling , by dropping every lake west of them. It got so bad I had to motor off my boat lift and pulled my boat out almost a month early. That said I'm having the "NEW" boat lift re-done so I can use most of the water below the hoist where the design now I lose 12" to 16" of water which is fine at normal summer pooling level and even a bit below that.
Take a look at Big Al's , Attitude Adjuster makes them , flat , hang on side of boat...Turn them over when done for the day if your boat is out in the sun, had one melt a bit.....
I have them also liked them but we're only good for small spoons , this box would be deeper and you could customize the slits to fit the most spoons....
I posted on this site before where the new owner of sunsetonseneca closed the Lodi Creek. The replies were to sneak in anyway. If someone took the time it could be done in more small streams like this one.
