  5. LOTSA would like to offer our sincere THANK YOU to the following manufacturers that have generously donated product to be given away as door prizes during the LAKE ONTARIO FISHING EXPO on Sunday Feb 22, 2009. A-TOM-MIK NORTHERN KING R&R TACKLE DREAMWEAVER PRO-TROLL/STINGER Each manufacturer has sponsored an hour of the EXPO when their products will be given away as door prizes. Each hour, winners will be selected at random from the number of Expo attendees through the door to that point. The numbers drawn will correspond to the number on the back of your admission ticket. With your $5 admission (donation to the pen rearing projects) you will be entered into the door prize drawing and must be present to win the door prizes. Tim

  8. Just want to let you guys know that Tom will be having some REALLY nice 1 day only show specials at the LOTSA 2009 Lake Ontario Fishing Expo on Feb 22, 2009. http://www.lotsa.org/A-TOM-MIK_LOTSA_EXPO_FLYER.htm Tim
  9. Rod, Take a serious look at the Lamson Konic in the 3.5 or 4 size. The konic has the same super smooth drag in it as is in Lamsons litespeed, velocity and other higher end reels. I got the 3.5 this fall from Cabelas for $139.00 and it is SHA-WEET. The Konic is widely regarded as the best reel for the money currently on the market. I was going back and forth between that and the Ross CLA and I'm glad I didn't spend the extra 100 scoots on the Ross. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templ ... hasJS=true Tim

  12. 46 tables of Charter Captains, Manufactureres/Reps, Tackle shops etc with loads of new and used tackle and gear. The Charters (who pretty much all have tackle manufactureres that they pro-staff for) always have loads of barely used gear that they get from their sponsors that they sell for really discounted prices, etc. A-Tom-Mik's Tom Allen will be there himself and he has some really nice Show Specials in place for that 1 day event. If you go to the Expo Participants pages on the LOTSA website, if you click on Tom's Entry in the Manufacturer's list there is link to a flyer of the A-Tom-Mik specials. It is my understanding that all of the new spin doctor colors will be available at the show. There are also 4 1 hour or so seminars throughout the day in another room at the facility on various topics. Well worth the $5.00 entry fee. All of the money taken in at the door is going to be donated to the area pen rearing projects. http://www.lotsa.org/2009%20EXPO.htm Tim
  13. There's updated/additional information on registering for the GLA School at the LOTSA website in the "Registration Info" Button http://www.lotsa.org/index2.htm Tim

  15. Duane, Same here. The only time I had to call was to talk to somone and order a new steering bezel bracket, and they were super helpful, I ordered it from SimradUSA in Seattle and it was at my door 4 or 5 days later. That was 3 years ago when I was installing mine. Haven't had any problems to call them on since the install, so I can't say for sure if the service has dropped off lately. Tim
  16. Simrad AP 12 or 14 R Everyone who has one loves it, myself included. Tim
  17. not NY, but South Shore Marine in Ohio has quite a few in that size range. I go there every so often to drool on my keyboard at all the Tiaras I can't afford to buy. www.southshoremarine.com Tim
  18. cyber.... Tahoe has a sea lamprey infestation also?? Who knew Tim
  19. Shawn, I deploy the slider after the rigger is at depth and before the belly has been fully snugged up in the rigger rod line. I've heard that it slides down to the belly and I've also heard from people with stike vision cameras that they've seen the slider work it's way all the way down, almost to the rigger release. I think it may depend on the size of the spoon and how much resistence it has in the water. My sliders are almost always smaller, lighter style spoons. I don't know where it ends up and quite honestly, I really don't care. I DO know that they account for quite a few additional fish over the course of a year and that's good enough for me. Tim
  20. Of course, I also have to say that I almost never run fixed sliders. If the fleas aren't too bad to run em, I usually put out free sliders. Tim
  21. Rob, I've never found it necessary to pin the add a line to make it fixed. The water pressure from the slider pulling on the line between the "ears" holds it in place. Much easier to use than rubber bands IMO. Never used the liberator so I can't comment on those. Tim
  22. well no, the add a line runs free sliding on the rigger rod line. it doesn't get clipped to the rigger. Water pressure holds it in place once it's in the water. Here's what they look like and the directions on the back of the package: Tim
  23. For the love of god Mike, please rearrange your photos on the initial post so it isn't 3 screens wide Tim
