  1. Nice job, John. I fished solo yesterday morning. Had 6 hits but couldn’t hold on to them. Had a real screamer on a dipsey out 250 over 165 but lost him as I tried to slow the boat. Landed one laker. Fleas worse inside 150.
  2. Motored from P’Ville to Ginna this morning. Found fish and bait in 120-140ft, down about 100 where the temp started to break. Took an 18# king and a 20# laker on 450’ copper with meat. Took another 15# king on a dipsey with dodger/fly out 295’. Quit at noon.
  3. If you have been around this fishery as long as I have, you probably have acquired a boatload of lures. I'm thinking about spoons in particular. With many newer spoons being "UV", it might be fun to add UV tape to some of the classics to see if it helps. Has anyone tried this and did they catch fish?
  4. There is no public launch in P’Ville. Closest would be Hughes Marina but I haven’t heard if they are operating yet.
  5. I'm well aware of the various dipsey wires, my question is: what is the composition of weighted steel that makes it different.
  6. How does weighted steel differ from regular 7 strand dipsey wire or Torpedo 19 strand steel? What makes it up?

  10. I suggest Samson Marine in Red Creek. I have had them do structural and cosmetic repair on three boats. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  11. Do you think that 200# is marginal, or just that 250# is another option? Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  12. https://www.americanlegacyfishing.com/power-pro-200-lb-x-100-yd-spool-hi-vis-yellow-braided-line.html I found this that looks pretty good.
  13. Time to replace my planer board line and I'm wondering what brand/type is working the best recently?
  14. Has anyone had any success in running a bare flasher or dodger on an unused rigger. At times, I have an unused rigger because our rod limit is used up on other lines. I'm thinking of running an attractor off the ball of the spare rigger. Anyone had any success with this?
  15. Check Wilson Tuscarora State Park. They have overnight and transient dockage and a boat ramp. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  16. Thanks Rich, I'm considering that option. I have enough water (barely) at my dock in P'Ville. Going to wait a little to see if things improve.
  17. Is there plenty of water and ramp length at the Genny launch to launch a 27' Amberjack on a triple axle trailer?
  18. Thanks, I'm considering that option. I've been able to launch it myself for the last ten years, but low water and some launch area fill in are issues. Thanks again.
  19. I'd like to launch my 27" Amberjack on a triple axle trailer somewhere in the Pultneyville/Sodus area next week. As of now I don't see any possibilities. Any Ideas?
