  1. Me too, had to clear the lines about every half hour. No fish, just fleas.
  2. Finally got the rigger board w/lure box my buddy made, and 6 rodholders mounted. All I have left to do is mount a net holder and I think I'll be done for a while. I mounted my 2 manual Cannons, 2 rodholders on the rigger board and 2 on each gunnel. There are 5 rod stations in front of the doghouse you can't see, but I've got my wire rod standing in the middle one. Took her up to Oswego yesterday to try out the rigger setup and it worked just fine. Unfortunately the fish weren't cooperating but it was a good day on the water anyway. The fleas are starting to get pretty bad. Had to clear the lines about every half hour. Sorry Ray, my girlfriend hasn't gotten around to making and putting up the curtains yet.
  3. This same guy copied and pasted the same post in "Questions about salmon and trout fishing". :?:
  4. Like W.W.IV. said, it's a lot of info in one post. You've only got a short time before you get to the lake and there's an awful lot to try to learn in a few days. I would honestly suggest you tie up with someone who charters out of Fair Haven for your first day there. When you go out, tell him you are only there for the week and you want to learn as much as you can. Pay attention to what speed you are going, what depths the fish are at, lures used that are catching fish, and everything else about your day out. It might cost you a few bucks, but it's the best money spent when you figure you're going to catch fish vs not catching fish on your own. Salmon trolling is not an easy way of fishing, but when you hear that reel screaming, you'll be hooked.
  5. Dang, here I thought if I recorded it in the bathroom I might have a hit.
  6. What did you think of that CD I sent you?
  7. No problem Ray. Do we need another team member too or is it just gonna be the two of us? I'll carry a can of Raid just in case things get too bad.
  8. I had some out of Oswego last week. Not bad, but they are starting to show up.
  9. You might try Screwy Louie's in Fair Haven. I know he works on Cannons and a few others.
  10. Thanks for clearing that up. I could see you out in 2-3 footers really putting on a show.
  11. The east end ought to turn on any time now.
  12. Hmmm, nobody in chat tonight.
  13. Wow, what a morning. You're a lucky man to have the kids fishing with you on Father's Day. That can't be beat.
  14. Bring the wife's credit card and don't tell her. I learned that trick from Ray K.
  15. Yes, I've been out on it without the riggers, just dipsys and haven't gotten the skunk out of it yet. I just got the riggers mounted on the board my buddy made me so hopefully I'll be able to throw the skunk overboard, along with a banana. Thanks for the tip on the blower. No gas smell at all.
  16. On the dash of my boat, there's a sticker that say to keep the blower on when running below cruising speed. I keep my running for about 4 min. when I first start the boat, but I don't when I'm trolling. How many of you do? Am I pushing my luck?
  17. I have the 10" Cimeter. Makes short work of big kings: http://www.cadcutlery.com/butcher.htm
  18. I'm unable to get to my profile. I keep getting a 404 message. I wanted to check if there was some way in my profile I can stay logged on automaticly if I don't delete my cookies.
  19. Come on Ray, you're scaring me.
  20. DUH :?: All's I got is the window to throw it out of.
  21. If it involves work for them forget it.
  22. Dang, I had company tonight and couldn't make the chat. I hope you didn't give away all the secrets.
