  1. Thats close but I use an offshore relase and a rod with about 6000 yards of line on it. It works great with dodgers and flies! Toooooo FN funny Stinger! Oh BTW I'm hammerin big fish. You guys are in trouble. RR
  2. My V6 is rated at 200 HP. Big block 8 should be 250 hp at least. RR
  3. You have to move around to find a spot thats less weedy. Thats what I do. The fleas are really bad this year but they are heavy when they first start, then it will level off. The grass is really a pain, I have to watch from the helm and try to steer around them. Its bad around the 4th as there are lots of boats whippin up the water and sending the grass out in the lake. RR
  4.   No I don't wanna see! No its actually a factory job with the coated canvas. The top came from Starcraft, Taylor made. No leaky. RR
  5. bumpity bump. The top doesn't even have any seagull poop on it! Ray you know you want it! lol RR
  6. Go south young man, go south. I had a box on sat, that I hope to have for the LOU. Fri was good as well. Thanks Split! lol RR
  7. yep So far so good for me. 221V Islander. RR
  8. I have a brand new bimini top and boot with frame for a starcraft islander 221V. The top also has all the zippers in place to add side curtains and a back drop. I also have the mooring cover for the 221 V islander as well. It needs a couple of snaps replaced. 400 bucks for the top, frame and boot. 150 bucks for the mooring cover Pic of the top. RR
  9. Antenna connection prolly. Cut the end off and re-do it. If that doesn't work, time for a new antenna. RR
  10. Here is my Cisco set up. I love the fact that they are far enough apart to not catch another reel or rod. I'm going to order 2 singles for the back and get rid of the big jons. RR
  11. Cowbells on LO yes. Fingerlakes they work but dodger flies work better on the FL's. You have to remember that it is very difficult to keep stuff right on the bottom especially on Cayuga. The depth changes too quickly, you are either off bottom or hung up. Cowbells need to be run right on the bottom. I target the suspended lakers, its much eaiser than trying to run a bottom program. You can do that on LO because you have a conistant depth and keep the rigs in the strike zone.
  12. You don't need to put twillies on right away. It will take a little while to groove up the regular tops, then change em after they wear. RR
  13. Why? Dodgers flies work just as good for lakers and you can run them faster than cowbells and cover more water. I don't think attaching them to your rigger balls will do anything but create a big headache. I run my dodger files 10 ft back on cayuga. Just for s#$%s and giggles I ran a doger off the balls once and it did absolutely nothing. RR
  14. Fill a LC47 type reel with 1000 ft of Malin 7 strand in 30 lb test. No backing needed. http://www.malinco.com/fishing/trolling.html RR
  15. The 40lb power pro will just collect fleas. go with 30lb 7 strand wire for the dipsys. 12 lb balls are a must. Rest of it will be fine. RR
  16. Well I think you are better off setting up 2 wire dipsy rods. I run a thumper but I also run 2 wire dipsys and just about everyone on this board does too. With your rig I would run 2 rigger rods, 2 wire dipsy's and a thumper. Usually I run green and white as my primary colors for dodgers fly set ups. What we call green on green or white on white. Mag and the next size smaller (28 size) spoons will be fine. Colors? Everyone runs different stuff and if you search the board you will find all kinds of examples. Speeds will vary with wind and current but generally you want to run between 2.4 and 3.0 at the ball. I can't give you specifics about the east end right now because it changes daily. Just keep you eye on the reports here to give you a general idea what to use and where to go. You are going to want to use 30lb mono and 30 lb wire. When the fleas start to show up braids and lighter mono will just collect the fleas and make the fishing impossible. Good luck. RR
  17. If they have the older motors, Cannon does not support those any more since being sold to Johnson and finding replacement motors is difficult. I just went thru that and got lucky. RR
  18. 5.35 for 89 on Cayuga. Ouch!
  19. Jeff, Eagles feet! They work great! http://www.tandlproducts.com/index.html 80 bucks and a 10 dollar 2x8. I also have 1 big jon captains pac hand crank in great shape if you want to buy it. RR
  20. Cisco the best I have ever used. I have 2 doubles and love them. Worth every penny! RR
  21. I know some things will cloud the clear vynil. What do you use? Thanks RR
  22. Very tough right now. Transition time. I did 3 salmon this morning but all small. You need to target them about 15 to 20 ft down. Right now the fish are every where. I marked them from 40 to 300 fow. Cheaters took all my salmon this morning. Lakers were down about 70 ft. Oh yea the bite is a quick one. Pretty much shut down by 6:30. Then a slow pick till 10:00 when i quit. RR
  23. I'm glad you got my joke Stinger! RR
  24. Hey stix if I see a big milk jug about 30 ft behind your boat and wildman is on it, I'm gonna come over and cut it loose! lol Oh man you guys are killin me! funny stuff for shore! RR
