  1. I ran 11 in paddle with a leader of 36 inches to the fly on my thumper. On fri it took all my bigger fish(12 to 14 lbers). The rest of the weekend it took dinks. I don't think it mattered.
  2. Thank you guys! Yea seeing my wife when I got home was very enlightining! RR
  3. OK thanks. Looking good for a new one, just negotiating price. Just as nice as the one I had. Have to go to illinois to get it though.
  4. Thanks Scott. I hope to be up and running by the Cayuga LOU! lol RR
  5. It was nice to meet you too Rick. Glad you did well. Billy I'm still shaking. Went up to the place where they towed it and got all my stuff off it. It goes to salvage today. Some one is going to make out good with that motor. No damage to it 4.3L V6 with 100 hours on it. Just barely broken in. Trailer was wrecked too. Nothing happend to all my electronics and fishing gear. But I have that insured too. RR
  6. Had a good box on fri. Went back sat and my fish were gone. Only got 2. Boxed out on sun at 8:00. Totaled my new boat in a car accident on the thruway on the way home. SUV is fine, no damage and no one was injured at all. Very scary to say the least. Thank god I insured it. Looks like I found another one in as nice shape. Hope it works out. RR
  7. 90 % of my fish came on paddles and flies and mag spoons. 120 to 140 down and 300 to 350 0n the wire . What are ya gonna do? Dink city. Change the rules to 24 inches when the water is below 55 degrees. Could have released those fish easily. Wouldn't have mattered on my dismal showing though. RR
  8. It was very tough this weekend. The bait has moved in shallow. All my fish were gone in my spots this weekend. I won't be around this weekend. (pro am) shhhhhh! lol Good luck. RR
  9. I have an EZ loader trailer for sale. There are no stress cracks at all. Needs tires and prolly new wiring. A little paint and its good as new. 400 bucks. It will hold up to a 19 ft boat (allum or fiberglass) PM for details RR
  10. Those don't look like dinks to me Mark. Thats a prety darn good am box right there! Lots o points. RR
  11. Congrats Split! You won the one that counts, not a trophy, that I plan on keeping! lol Congrats! RR
  12. Ray all i know is yesterday a 11 lb 6 oz was winning. Lots of guys trolling by the house. I'm not in the derby but I took a 10.5 lber (weighed) yesterday and some nice browns and salmon. Bite was over at 10:00. I don't know how its going out there today but the lakes is decent. My neighbor weighed in a 5.5 lb salmon. (Sawbelly) I'm sure Split will update later. RR
  13. I've been fishing the big pond. I'll be out on sat or sun but not in Barney's. Water temp is still good, the lakers are in 100 ft to 140. I suspect board fishing is still decent but shallow riggers with long leads and small spoons will work better. Fish the usual areas and if you don't hit fish in a half an hour, MOVE! hows that? lol RR
  14. Rod, I read it as the first 6 legal fish period. If its within the half inch mark then you can release that fish. No culling. RR
  15. Had a slight mishap on the way up to the bar and poped out a few snaps. What size rivets do I need to put on the new snaps? Thanks RR
  16. Had a great time and OK fishing. Took the 22 lber with JanZ on the MORE ON on wed. My crew got there wed night. We caught fish but they were mostly scattered for us and we just picked away at em. No pattern for at all which made it a little tougher. Yesterday I finally found what I was looking for and we thumped em but nothing big enough for the board. New boat ran great and all the new goodies worked great too. Good trip, we had a blast. I'll add some pics when the guys send em to me. RR
  17. No mike I was off the dock last night pitching flies and never had a follow. Usually the big bluegills are here by now. I am thinking 1 more week. Usually by the 15th anyaway. It was flat calm last night and I could see a long ways out, no sign of anything except for the ducks.
  18. Worms! Works everytime! lol Seriously! RR
  19. Depends on how deep the fish are. Seriously! I run all wire even in the spring. Some days 100 ft some days 300 ft and aything inbetween. Start out high and every 20 min or so drop it back some more until you start hitting fish. RR
  20. All is good after the impeller change! 150 at 500 RPM. RR
  21. I get the lakers going fast too. 2.8 to 3.0. Last weekend though the salmon wanted it slower 2.4 was the ticket. RR
  22. cwmwnw, I have a nice set of Cedar home made boards that you can have. You just need to come get them. We can arrange something for pick up depending on your location. RR
  23. Read this thread thouroughly. http://www.lakeontariounited.com/fishin ... php?t=4840 RR
  24. Off track, they have pulled that. Got it straight from the BP. Can't enforce it untill the get the infrastructure in place. I spoke to them 2 weeks ago in person, not second hand info. Several of us called and all got the same answer. RR
