JB good to hear from you, I guess there is some issues of what is going to happen with ownership....I spoke with Chuck and Nancy and they wanted to do a month to month lease and were told "no"......I am thinking Arney's may be the place to go this year.....Call me when you get some time......Woody.

Reeltime, I know that I would be in for the Challenge. It would be some good competition just from the local guys.....We have some great fisherman in that Sodus Bay area....At least one of the guys I used to mate for I know would do good in that Challenge.....I also have learned a TON from watching and listening to these guys over the years.........Woody.

Guys I just got off the phone with a couple that I dock my boat next to down in Sodus and the Docks we use are going through some issues and we are looking for a new place to Dock for the Season.....I know some of you guys have some experience with Hughes and the Pultneyville area....Stix....Just wondering how much they charge at Hughes and if they have Campsites available for the Night/Weekend/Season....Friends of mine have a van that they camp out of and are looking for a spot to dock the boat and camp....First place I thought of was Hughes.......If anybody has any ideas.....Preferably in the Sodus, Hughes, Pultneyville area.........Thanks.........Woody.

Ray that is the Lake Ontario Parkway....Very nice ride to the Oak...Best bet if anybody wants to take it is take Route 104 to Lake Avenue Head north to the Parkway...Head West....It is nice and direct and very little traffic.....Woody.

Rich, I have not had much of chance except to see if the ice has melted off the boat this year, I am hopeing to get the boat out in a week or two.........I have been pretty busy with work...I may venture out for the LOC a few days depending on if Steve needs help with any charters....But I will mainly be fishing out of Sodus and Bear Creek with some fo the guys from the site.....When do you head West.......Dale.

Rod yeah I understand about the other launches...I am sure if the channel is open guys are out hitting the water....I am off until wednesday night...I may try the 14 footer one of the days this week....A buddy of mine has been killing the browns casting from shore so I may just bust out the rod and do some casting.....I love that feeling when a brownie stops the lure in mid-retrieve.......Woody.....

Rod that ramp actually almost killed me 11 years ago.....Not going into details.....The Arnies one is good like Jolly stated and the one at the Southend at Bay Bridge Sports is decent......But yeah stay away from that ramp next to the USCG....There will be a dock there soon.......Woody.

I was fishing with my cousins off Hedges about 25 years ago and we were drifting with worms and we were killing the Smallies...My cousins at the time were 6 and 8 years old me a whopping 11 years old..My youngest cousin says I got a big one.....Just before he lifts it over the side, I said its not swimming right.....That is when it broke the surface a huge EEL !!!...I think I crapped myself, we cut the line and took our 8 foot flat boat back to shore.....I still laugh with the cousins over that !!!! I was casting spoons off the pier next Hedges restaurant in Webster. We had been killing the browns all morning, next cast the reel stops and what ever hit the cleo just took off for Canada.......After at least an hour of playing tug of war, I had snagged a monster carp in the head!!!!!....I was not a happy camper..... I was fishing the canal almost 20 years ago and we did real well on everything.......I mean everything.....well I cast the lure out get a nice hit start to fight, who knows what because it is such a mixed bag down there....I look up and skimming accross the water was a huge snake.....He kept swimming right towards me......I cut the line and left.....Game Over !!

Last Spring during the derby me and a buddy were out in front Sodus Bay and we had nothing but were marking some great fish and bait that made the rods jump......We worked that area hard for 2-3 hours and then they turned on fast and had multiple doubles.....Then my favorite part happened.....A call must have been made from one of the 4-5 boats working the area and we had like 5-6 more boats motor right in and set-up around us and in the middle of us and the fish just shut right off......I have a real problem when guys motor right in to a pack of boats ans set-up....These fish were in the top 40 foot of the water column..The boards were flying with Steelies...The riggers were flying......I like to use my head and troll my way into a pack, so you don't spook the fish........It hurt everybody's fishing after that........Oh yeah they were hitting green echips with green HOWIES baby..Junior Thunders off the boards...That is fun when you are fighting a double and trying to drive the boat and net your buddies fish when it is just two guys.........Serious fun.........Woody.

Splitshot I do not teach at the PSTF on Scottsville Road, but have a few friends that are Instructors there.....I will be there tomorrow night for my EMT Re-Cert class.......I put in for a new opening for the State as an Instructor and I have not heard back yet......If I get that position I would be a Part-time Instructor for the State in Wayne County and surrounding counties depending on openings.......Dale.

Ray I appreciate that very much......My father was a Firefighter and it has always been in my blood....I love what I do, and would change nothing except for one day winning the LOC.........Love that Corning area....I have spent many weeks in Montour Falls..........Dale.

I am a Career Firefighter in the Rochester area also I am an Assistant Chief in the local Volunteer FD out here in Wayne County.....I keep myself busy working my small farm and working several part-time jobs to pay for my fishing habit !!!!!!!
