The Oak 6-2
ray koziatek replied to Get The Net's topic in New York Fishing Reports - Lake Ontario (South Shore)
6/3 spent 6hrs trolling around front of the oak fish everywhere but no takers hooked a few shakers lost a couple cohos on the coho rig clear water pulled the rods and ran 6mi west hit a 3.5 deg temp break first rod green E chip with SIGGS RIG FLY green crinkle color droped to 68ft and it went off before i got to the other rigger very stubborn 18lb king droped rig back down it went off at 20 ft down on the decent as i was lowering (*cool) this was a smaller fish took a nice run and pulled free N/E wind started to get a little sporty trolled for 20 min then saw storm packed it up .,,, i knew i shoulda went hunting for greener water sooner gave CHAS a call on the cell(buc a roo) in the am kinda talked me into waiting out the fish near port but not today think that NE wind and the storms put em on hold -

what depth do rainbows, browns and landlocks feed?
ray koziatek replied to emptynet's topic in Finger Lakes Discussion
surface to 100 ft ,,,,,,,, this time of year 50 ft and above ,,in am early surface to 20 ft early evening also same depth with summer boat traffic early should be the best,,,,once the shoreline gets a little busy start some east west trolling there will be little pods of fish out there when you hit em you usually get doubles .... when ya got a little time go to WWW.attheoak.com,, scroll to (total team choas) there is some good stuff lots of basic and advanced stuff there . -

not you you silly wabbit i stuck my nose in where i shouldnt have and it got bent a little on another post ,, the only problem with your post is there was none for the derby!!!!!!!!! some people dont understand my depth of humor(sometimes shallow) im the kinda guy who fishes to be on the water my 1st home, plays golf for fun not the score, enters bike races for the free T shirt ,and goes hunting to relive memories of days gone by and days to come, when i catch a big fish, wack a nice buck,or get a hole in one (more like a low bogey) thats a bonus ,, i ant never gonna win a bike race unless its downhill all the way gravity +BMI==speed

I run between 12 # and 20# ,, 12,15,17,works well with spoons use the big stuff 20# for spindctrs, and flashers,,, the one thing i always do is go with a little better swivel and test every knot with a 10# rigger weight you would be surprised how two seemingly identical knots can differ in strength 6'6" to 7' rods med to med heavy act. ill traid some lake onterio info for some seneca lake info Ray K.
