  1. ive had libs. for 5 yrs used em maybe 5 times just go with the sliders also the swivel on the line end should be one of the elongated swivels so it slides over the end of the spoon on the main line ,less line abraision ........
  2. is that your new rig or your old boat ,,,,, bob there ant even a rod holder let alone a downrigger ant even a pole in site, man i hope your GF didnt talk ya into pleasure boating maybe lavender with a splash on honeysuckle biege would cover up those manley colors on the outside of the boat dont force me to post a couple pics of a fishing boat ,,heck we dont even use a can we just pee on the deck and let it slosh around till it drains into the bilge , geesh curtins ,porta potty next thing youll be using tiolet paper to avoid wet spots i thought you were a retired street cleaner not a fashion designer .. been nice knowing ya bud enjoy the new ride .....jealousy rules Ray K.
  3. LIBERATORS, fixed slider or should be called stacker as thats what your dooing...........they dont slide down till ya bump em into your retreaver..........also roemers are the best for slider fishing as you can stiffen up the release and get better hookups on the slider let the fish hook em self and just reel em in
  4. 50 ft offshore 6ft water all day long ,if its sunny bring some binocks maybe youll see some bathing beauties off the front of my boat over 200ft as im pulling in another king , thats the only derby i ant got a family thing going on hope to make it .............
  5. Got a cannon easy troll missing counter ,counter cost bout 28 bucks 50.00 with base, took counter for my mag 10 sorry........if you pick up ive got a 8 lb whgt. you can have.or you pay shipp. Ray K.
  6. yankee could probly add to this but a dypsy moves all around with waves and surges of the rod so the dyp. and spinny or spoon is dancing all over down there kinda teeses the fish , also the dyp.acts as a actractor, with a slide ya got some line between your dyp. and bait which sorta mellows out the action at your lure, spinny. i like the sliders for big steelies just leave it out there they will come/....
  7. you wernt the only one that bailed i went past severn launch sunday maybe 10 trailers in lot usually lot is full and cars parked along side acess rd outa site up the hill, also south end was empty of boats with about 1 thousand baitfish balls with fish mixed in every where still a lot of ll near gleneldridge ...

  11. the ol learning curve has flattened out a little if someone needs a firstmate during the week i know what end of the pole goes in the holder, after several 10+ yrs working with youth sports ive missed the spring early summer bite for the most part cept a couple wknds, i also double as a comedian........Ray K. 769-7947
  12. stix , didnt think to run stuff that close ,do ya try this at all depths or just deep , this wknd on seneca everything was in the top 40 ft for us, kinda wierd got a laker in the propwash 15/15 more like 5ft down also had several lakers yes lakers do several jumps and runs would of bet the boat they were landlocks on the evening bite...hmmm dont think ive seen one of those sudus spoons ,course if you post a pic of it who knows what the heck we,ll be looking at ... dont tell yankee the first fish of the derby we caught was a 5+ brown that we carefully released 4lb something was on the board at the end.
  13. yea, cept the part about the wire, some nimrod crossed my stern on seneca yesterday and took my sammy pac gold and orange spoon and my mini planner gee i hope it didnt wrap his prop almost pulled my stuff and returned the favor but i didnt wanna take a chance on spilling my beer...soooo the fishes are at the oak area did ya have green water looks kinda clear on satelite image keep your eye on the surface temp change and down photo there might be sompthing in common there specially this time of year gotta couple furnaces and 1 a/c system to get in before i can play again unless the fish reports get real stupid .your report sounded like you were the one grabbing your rod next time let the wife grab ahold and crank one in
  14. hmmm two beers at once ..........
  15. RB ,just bought a bunk style 2 yr ago no prob. every where around here excepy at the CG launch at sodus but nobody uses that one.i like the bunk lines up better when loading alone and boat sits about 1 ft lower on trailer less wind resistence going down the road and due to cradle style of bunks with the boat sitting lower its in the water as about the same depth if not sooner than with rollers stop over and take a look ,jst not this wknd seneca derby, 769 7947 ray k.
  16. where is that camera zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz mmmmmmmmmmm maybe i should of tried em before i licked em clean,clean...hey im doing a 3 day derby with powerdriver harrington kinda like riding a blind horse gotta keep reining him to stay on the path, gumbys going too ,too
