  1. Go right to the big jon website and look for the blemished ones. They sell them cheaper and who cares what they look like as long as the work. They will. Brad
  2. I voted for: "Quarter pounder".
  3. I like the fact that no two jugs are exactly the same, color, shape, size, etc. It keeps things interesting.
  4. Did you try bigweenie.com? If you dont see it on his site, call him and ask for it. He is like Houdini...he can do anything with tape. His name is Gary. Brad
  5. What color is the cup side? silver, brass Does it come in a glow?
  6. I'm out of work and ready for the road trip. Just need a trailerable boat and a tow vehicle! Lets do it!
  7. http://www.walleye.com/boatads.htm There is a Thompson that looks to be in great condition on this site. It might fit your bill. Rich D. has this same boat and it is a good one. Been around for a long time. Dont think you could go wrong with this model. Brad
  8. My family and I have decided to take a cabin that sleeps 6. The 1 week, Sat. to Sat. will cost us $444. We will be there 8/22 to 8/29. Cabin 19. Look us up if you are around.
  9. Saw it and its very moving. I'm not afraid to say I cried watching it. I cant imagine being a parent and having to go thru that. I am very thankful for all the men and women of the armed srevices who have kept this country safe throught all the years of war and terrorism. God bless the USA!
  10. Joe, Gotaway. Can you give me a call at 508-612-2959. I have a few quick questions. Call any time. Thanks. Brad
  11. Chowder, My choice has always been Blacks releases but after seeing the Chamberlins in use I would go with them. Especially since you fish the FLX. It has a feature that allows the smallest of fish to trip the release and still crank down the tips of the rods to the water. Even very small LL salmon will trip it. Heading to Ontario for kings...Just a few little adjustments and you are all set for the big boys. The Chamberlin is like a Blacks but with a few more tricked out features! I am no way afilliated with Chamberlins. Hell....I dont even own a downrigger any more.
  12. I am wondering if anyone here has stayed in the cabins and has some imput. I know they are no frills but it beats staying in a tent and the price is right for a weeks stay. If you have seen them, please comment. Also what do you think about the campgrounds and safety. Thanks in advance. Brad
  13. This reel will be at the LOTSA meeting at the swap section. Please see Rich D. at Popeye Charters booth to view the reel.
  14. The only NICE sail boat is one on the bottom of the lake creating some structure for lil fishes to gather around!
  15. Rule #21 - All fish may be subject to polygraph testing in order to maintain good conservation practices. Just reading the rules and noticed this one. I didnt know that a fish, dead or alive, could take a polygraph test. Hmmm? I know it takes a lot to get this all together and am very happy to have such a great tournament to fish in. I just thought the wording was a bit funny. Dont beat me up. Looking forward to the Oswego tournament!!!! Thanks to all that make this tournament happen.
  16. Almost new. My 10 YO son wants to sell the reel he won at the LSRC last year. Part of a rod and reel combo he was lucky enough to win. We spooled it with 30lb. pink Ande and used it the next morning. Thats it, a half day and no fish on that rod. He wants $50. + shipping. This reel sells for $79.99 at Cabelas. Email me at [email protected] or call 508-612-2959 cell.
  17. It there a website for it? Would like to read more. Brad
  18. Go to fishdoctor.com. They have a video of how to do it in the video section. Very well done. Hope this helps. Brad
  19. Some people on here have had some success running the dive bombs on the 400' sections and have passed on 600' setups. I have yet to run a dive bomb so I cant really say anything more.
  20. What about taking a piece if Starboard and mounting it where you might have some thrubolts already. Extend it long enought so it reaches the edge of the hull/ transom area. Mount your Ducer there. No extra holes. Maybe the kicker is thru bolted and you can get a piece to go next to the kicker. Main engine a outboard? Thats thru bolted!! Swim Platform??? I would use 5200 and seal the starboard to the transom if you think it is long enought to flex off the transom if h20 pushes against it while running. Or just cut it short so the h2o passing under the hull cant catch it.
  21. Walt, Maybe you can ship some of that now inexpensive lobster out to the guys in NY and PA and make some $$ doing it. They are looking for downriggers, Shimano or Penn reels with level winds, planer boards and masts, kicker motors, rod holders, big lake spoons and stick baits. Got any of this stuff? See you in York ME for the new year! BTW - North andover is a different town from Andover. They have all the old $$$$.
  22. This guy is on the local boards out here in N.E. He is always trying to sell stuff and that includes his boat and his charter business. I guess Ebay is not too profitable for him and he needs other venues to move his junk. Bring us something we need Walt. Bad Maine Joke: Did you know they invented the tooth brush in Maine? It wouldnt have make sense to call it a "teeth brush" because most Mainers only have one tooth left in their head. "Save a fish...Eat a lobsta!"
  23. Added side note: Just think how much more in sales the tackle shops would be getting. All the extra tangles would generate more "line" (mono, wire, LC, copper) sales and we all know you come out with more gear than you planned on buying before you went in. It's a win for the economy too. I hate tangles but I am in favor of 3 rods per person!
