  4. currently, there are no fleas in either of these lakes. To help keep it that way, PLEASE follow the DEC's regulations: To help stop invasive species from contaminating the Lakes, please: do not launch boats at Hemlock & Canadice Lakes within 5 days of boating on other waters; wash down your boats after removing them from other waters; check your trailer and propellers; do not "bring" any water from other lakes or streams thanks, andre
  5. I fish lake O. only once or twice a year and tomorrow will be one of those days! i'm planning to launch out of sandy or i-bay. the recent posts seem somewhat inconsistent, except that the open (deep) water has been more productive lately. any info or suggestions from anyone will be greatly appreciated. i have a fishhawk but can hardly remember the best temps for kings - is 50 degrees what i should target for them? and about 55 for steelhead? thanks much, dre

  8. The planer boards are homemade and are easily adjustable for different conditionns. They fold up quickly and easily for convenient storage. $65 for the pair I don't think these Penn bases swivel, but i never used them. $40 for the pair 2 Shakespeare VHF antennae 9' both have the cables but only 1 has the mounting gear. $30 for both PM me if you're interested. thanks, andre

According to the article, tumors of the lateral line/lateral line syndrome were common (21% of mature and 8% of immature lake trout) in 4 fingerlakes (owasco, seneca, canandaigua, cayuga) between 1985-1994. dre cancer in fingerlakes trout.pdf

  19. Hi all, My buddy and i made our first trip of the year sunday. Due to the cold weather and it being our first time out this year, we didn't get lines out til 9a (which allowed a few other boats to have broken the ice for us - literally). Surface temps never exceeded 34.5 (we didn't go too far N. of the salt plant) and the bite was slow. Boxed a 21" laker at 12:30 and landed a few undersize LLs (one was down 240"). Boxed an 18" laker at 5:30 and my buddy suggested calling it a day. i had pulled in all but my downrigger rod and had just said "5 more minutes" when this 9# brown hit my cheater (ball was down about 160, so about 80' down). A great way to end my first trip of the year! dre
  20. Nautitroller said that surface temps out of Watkins were 33.7-34.2. I see that Fri night will be in the teens, then a high on Sat of only around 25, then low teens Sat night. Do you think Watkins may ice over by Sun am? thanks for your input, dre
