Agree, it is a great cause that all of us have had the pleasure to reap the rewards from recently. What's a few less lures... Sent from my DROID4 using Lake Ontario United mobile app -

Fair Haven 2-11 (Tourney on the 13th)
whiteknuckler replied to Finders Keepers's topic in Ice fishing
Damn, I wish I knew sooner. I still have been targeting the 300fow... SCREWY LOUIE'S PHOTOS and REPORTS Fishing has been spotty. Looking for trout and salmon in about 100 - 300 feet of water. Pan fishing has been doing well. -
Perferred Temps?
whiteknuckler replied to 711skwerlz's topic in Questions About Trout & Salmon Trolling?
Gray Fox is spot on. Depth Raider is a great tool but don't get too caught up with temp when you are marking fish. This is when knowing your down speed helps alot. When there are no marks to be seen, the Depth Raider brings you to where they at least "should be"... -
Oh, to have money. If you like aluminums Hewe's crafts are looking like mighty too much as well. http://www.hewescraft.com/

Fair Haven help?
whiteknuckler replied to Doozer's topic in New York Fishing Reports - Lake Ontario (South Shore)
I haven't been up in a few weeks but the word has been SLOW. That's funny, don't we all "want to catch them a few fish in the couple days we're there".... Good luck! -
Why is it the lake always lays down on Mondays! Nice job.

Hmmmm, Home Port: Fair Haven. Still for sale? -
These things look and act great. Too bad they boated me NO fish last year.... Saw my first one at Capt. Ernie's table when he was at Cabela's and I was impressed, now I'm only impressed with Capt. Ernie.

I was looking at Capt. Ernie's newsletter and he mentioned "The Nex Great Lake Revolution.... baited flies". Can anyone shed some light or even give a hint???

Is 20# Seaguar too light? Got a bit leftover from last summer and was wondering if the 30# - 40# minimum was learned through trial and error...

Damn Reese, if I only knew you and Cody had a copper rig I would of had Brian stop down and "borrow" it for a season or two. Thanks again ALL for the input. Guess it's time to PAY a visit to -TOM's website...

Been thinking about getting a copper set up for a fews years now and was just wondering if the 400' is a good place to start realizing I haven't learned what "burn" is from reeling in a 300' wire dipsies and will probably "have to have" a 600' copper set up sooner or later.... Thanks in advance.
