  1. Smalltaulk, planer boards are a must in the spring as well as all year long. You can run lead core, copper, divers, etc off of them. It makes it nice to open up your presentation.
  2. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):4/22/23/24/25 Time on Water:20hrs Weather/Temp:40 to 50 Wind Speed/Direction:west to east Waves: 0 to 2 ft Surface Temp: 40 to 44 Location:braddocks to hedges LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 128 Total Boated:94 Species Breakdown:Kings lakers browns cohoes atlantics and one walleye Hot Lure: Chewed everything natural stuff was best Trolling Speed: 2-3 mph Down Speed: Boat Depth: 5 to 18 ft Lure Depth: surface to 11 ft ====================Fishing continues to be great no matter where you go, east or west out of rochester. I had 2 kings, one 20lb west and one 16lb east. I also caught a beautiful fat 13lb and change walleye. I would vote for the black and silver sticks were best. It was also nice to see a couple of lakers on the beach looking for food as well. The browns were fat and healthy with several year classes showing up. The cohoes are a little on the small size compared to previous years. The monster alewives started showing up in yesterdays fish. I have also seen a fair number of small smelt in them as well. Alot of clients are happy. The bite is definately on, big time. GO FISH SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ====================
  3. Skippers, that is a new one from rapala. Where did you get them? I do have some of those log perch and they work good.
  4. Come on man, leave those poor little spotted creatures alone. Good deal rich. I told my local guys, another day. You troll sideways down the shoreline on times like that.
  5. I am sorry people i screwed up. The date for the pens are the 16th of april at 10:00 am.

  7. This saturday 4/16 we could use all the help we can get to put the nets on our 6 pens. This project is alot easier with more bodies, anyone is welcome. The site is on the hill at shumway marine. 10:00 am is the magic time. I AM SORRY, THE DATE IS THE 16TH.
  8. Sure i do scotty, that would be the only lure i would have to worry about putting in the water.
  9. Sorry pike hunter i forgot to answer your question. The black and silver rebel off the boards in 4 to 6 ft of water is where they were. I get2 pike almost every trip when i am in the braddocks area. The one was 7lbs and the other was almost 13lbs. My client from conn just mounted a 13lber this winter he caught ice fishing. He poooped his pants he was so happy.
  10. Thanks guys, it was nice to have many bites. Vince, i will not be there for the olcott / wilson proam this year.I have not missed one since 1995. We are looking at a new house/property this year. I have booked that weekend already. Rest assured, i know you are really not going to be all bummed out. Just another off the list you dont have worry about. Maybe have 2 beers and relax, forget about it. Besides, i will miss mark more. I always use a pen by the way.

There seems to be plenty of fish around, not many cohos showing up yet. The browns were loaded with monster gobies. Someone needs to make a lure the same shape, size, and color of the gobie. It only needs to dive 4ft at the most. One could only hope it would be in the future. ====================
  12. Thru hull is the only way to go. Drilled 2, 2.5" holes in past new boats. Forget about it. The smell of fiberglass will make you happy. The perfrmance you will get out of your unit surpasses your bad thoughts.
  13. Grasshopper, i dont know where you are coming from butt rochester kicks but in the spring. Browns, lakers,(out deep) cohos, and the occasional king or more if you fish a little deeper than the beach troll. Good luck!
  14. Rochester is by far the most consistent fishing from april to october. Unfortunately the county of monroe does nothing to promote it. To many other large industries keep the dollar going, dont dont need fisherman to survive. The fishing does not suck because of this, it actually makes it better for the few of us that are out there doing it. Just my views after 34 years of fishing there.
