  1. The best tourny would have no rules. Leave the dock with 0 fish come back with no more than legal limit. Fish w/in the laws of our state, if you go to Canada, make sure you abide by their rules. Have observers if you want, although why? Fished a scotty tourny several years back, very few rules, would have been fun if I had caught a fish. CC
  2. make sure you get the red and the red and white. Run them as sliders. Ray is right on the size. CC
  3. Shade, It is simple supply and demand. Those who SUPPLY the fuel are DEMANING more cash from us!! Truth be told it is Bush's fault and after Hillary has been pres for 3 years it will still be Bush's fault. Now on to religion...............
  4. Removal is a 3 day process, should be all out by thursday. As of right now I can still see ice on the river and harbor, but I can see open water on the lake. CC
  5. That is a crystalina frog, it is not the base spoon for the tranny. I'll get a pic of it and show you. CC
  6. Just went to the Hen. store last night they are working on moving lake stuff to the front. A little too late -- two weeks left in the season. I am happy, they had 5 MOONSHINE Carbon 14's, this lure has been smokin' hot and I only had 1. CC
  7. Sorry, All two are gone and the other is spoken for. CC
  8. $110.00 Used this reel for just over 1 season. I do not like the drag for inexperienced charter clients. This reel has enough fireline for backing. I used it for a 300' copper rig. I also have 2 Tekota 800 that I use for 400' and 550' rigs that I would consider replacing, better drags on these but just don't want any more shimano issues. I will sell these for $130 each. With backing. I am still using the 800's so you will need to give me a day or two to get their replacements. Let me know if interested. Capt. Carl Bish 716-560-2878 [email protected]
  9. Made it back to North Tonawanda (NT) Gander on Saturday, the store was not any better. They did have copper and a lot of stuff but the store was not organized. If you do get to the NT store be sure to have dinner at Texas Roadhouse Grill out front. The 32 oz sirloin was perfect after a day on the lake!!! CC
  10. The only time that is better than the last hour of light is the first hour! If you can fish that hour the sun touches the water go for it. I have had evenings when we catch 6+ fish in the last hour. CC
  11. It all has to do with management!!! They are not paying enough to get a guality #1 man/woman. CC
  12. ohHHHH, OoooW.....that blow was below the waterline!!
  13. Stopped by the NT store yesterday and asked them if they had any MOONSHINE lures -- I didn't need them, but since the manufacturer told me Gander had them I felt it my duty as a pro staff member to ask where they were. The nice guy I asked said they did have MOONSHINES and headed to the back to get them. He came back with a box full of lures, set them on the shelf and allowed me to go thru them. I made a comment about how it would be easier to find what I wanted if they were displayed on a rack and he then told me "THE REST OF THE STORY" He was part of an out-of-town crew sent to the NT store to get it "straightened out". Due to management issues the fishing section has had serious problems. Not much on display, things in strange spots (like stingers next to panther martins), but the biggest problem was most of the inventory was in boxes in the back and not even on the shelves!!! This guy said it would look like a new store in 3-4 days. I hope so -- I miss finding more than I need and spending too much!!! CC
  14. The best port is like the best day. The best port is where you are! The best day is Today! CC
  15. Tom, I have a client that fishes with me that has 100#+ on your guy. Four of us lift him into and out of the boat. Two in the boat and two on the dock. We face him into the boat and lower him in or lift him out. Securing the chair once in the boat is not a big deal. My guy just locks his wheels and he does not move around much. Just be careful when you put her up on plane that is when you could loose him over the transom. Hope this is some help to you. CC
  16. It wouldn't be the first redneck living on a settlement
  17. Hey, Great pictures of the kid. The thought of a Redneck in the area of my "6" keeps me up at night!! CC
  18. Good, I won't have the blue and white tin can crossing my lines any more!!! CC
  19. I have a pair of Cannon Digitrolls for sale. They are digitroll III, extendable booms, single rod holder & Cable. New pads put on by Screwy Louies last spring. I want $600 each for them or $1100 for the pair. These are used and are being sold as is where is. Still using them on the boat. Act now they go on ebay later in the week.
  20. Hi Nick, You have almost as many boat names as I have usenames. Good luck with the shirts. You know I know a guy that knows a guy that makes shirts! Good fishin, CC
  21. Mark, You can not go wrong with this unit. Top quality, digital and marine general has them for $549.00. It only has a 5" display but the cone is the same size as any and that is really what matters. I have a 4" DS400 (Because I am cheep, w/good vision, I got this one for $299) on the back of my boat and it does the job, great viewing in sunlight. This unit does not have the res of the lowrance, but I can speak for it's quality. CC
