    Don't know if it has been officially closed but it is badly flooded. The launch at Point Breeze is a much better bet but you may need boots to get on the floating docks.

    Any one buying a boat that old should have a survey done prior, may cost 3 or 4 hundred but might save you a few thousand and a college student doesn't need that expense. Ask on this site for people who do surveys, good luck
