  1. DITTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Love those kid pics!!!! Disappointing to only see one youth entry in the LOC this year?????? Shawn
  3. Nice job Mark! Always look forward to your videos! You might want to see your eye Dr. though - looks like you have a stygmatism in your left eye! Shawn
  4. Did well on browns today and one bow. Started East at first light and found some color near the bluffs. Worked it over for a couple hours with a steady pick of browns and a bow. Lost a nice brown at the boat. 16 fow was the most productive with various stickbaits off the boards and small spoons all working with gold out-producing silver colorwise. Bite died off around 10:00 so moved off-shore with only one release off a rigger 32 over 100 but no one home. Tried back in front of the bluffs later and found a case of lock-jaw. Waves to 4'+ by 1:30 so called it a day. Shawn
  5. Head East or West out of the bay at first light and troll shallow _ 6 fow with boards and small stickbaits (jr t-sticks, J-9 Rapala's, Bombers etc) Long leads up to 180' as water has been clear. There was a little bit of color East today near the Bluffs - see report. After sun gets up - move a little deeper 12 to 16'. Personally haven't done much off-shore but others have. Good luck! Shawn
  6. If you find hungry fish - stay on 'em. We left fish to find fish both days and it didn't pay off. Fished West of port Mon. bangin the beach for a dink and found better fish West of Maxwell 2-3 miles in 12 - 15 fow. Left there mid morning to go off shore and only picked up one brown in 165 fow on top. 8+ lbs being the best fish. Started East Tues and hooked up early in front of the bluffs, but a lot of traffic so headed West - found a lot of fish in 40fow range but not very hungry. Only a few marks out to 250fow. If we had a kitchen sink on board, I would have tried that too! Fish seem very scattered. Hope others are having better luck! Time to head to Olcott, huh Ray! Wish I could. Good luck, Shawn
  7. Congrats to LOU members on the leaderboard! Shawn
  8. Sounds like there may be a need for a referee on board! I may be available. Good luck otherwise! Shawn
  9. Thanks for the tips Ray!! We were west, in shallow and we started to pull up and head out yesterday then got a second fish about the time the wind kicked up, spun the boat around while netting and spent the next half hour untangling!! Hate when that happens! As far as Hank goes, he's a good man and doing a fine job - you know those old boats need TLC. When are you getting out Ray? Shawn
  10. Tough day out there today. Went 0 for 2 in shallow at 6-12 fow and 2 for 3 out 20 -40 fow. One nice healthy football shaped 8lb brown and another 2-3lbr. No lamprey marks on either fish. T-sticks and jr t-sticks were preferred today. It can only get better from here - right??? Shawn
  11. how big of a frying pan does one need for a 13lb pancake? sorry tom, couldn't resist! actually am interested in weight, pm me. thanks, Shawn
  12. Congratulations Jax!! Nice catch! Shawn

  14. Finished on-line course on above website. Would recommend: - good course either as a refresher or newbie - good general info with state specific info at end - can do it at your leasure - easy to navigate thru course - not bad for kids to understand with a little help - $15.00 for a certificate. Shawn
  15. WOW!!!! What a trip and experience! Did you use a guide or plan it on your own? Thanks for sharing! Shawn
  16. You can make your own. I believe there was a thread here with planer board plans, but I can't find it so try the LOTSA site plans http://www.lotsa.org/tips.htm There are many ways to make a mast that works for your boat and I've used small boards or plywood in a rectangular shape with >< cut into each end to wrap the planer line around. Sanded down real good, the line wraps on them easily and comes off easily. Feel free to PM me for more detail. Hope this helps. Shawn
  17. Very nice!!! Thanks for sharing! Shawn
  18. I'm sure most of us would love to spend our "Stimulus" checks on fishin stuff, but will ultimately be putting it into the gas tank. This really has to get political before anything is done about it. McCain want's to eliminate fuel taxes from Memorial Day to Labor Day. This seems like more of a "Stimulus" than $600.00. With all the campaining going on, and I realize there are bigger issues than fuel, 300 million people contacting their political favorites may have a bigger impact than boycotting. Just my $.02, which might get your vehicle to the end of the driveway. I know I am wondering what I'm going to give up in order to go fishing and that sucks. Shawn
  19. Thanks, Ken. Good meeting you yesterday. Shawn
  20. Just came from the Lake near the Oak - 5 footers from the N/E would be an understatement! Very nice thunder and lightning show though. Good luck at Cayuga Ray. Hank - Gramma's are always right!! Shawn
  21. Found this site which looks pretty good: www.boatingbasicsonline.com Will post after finishing course. Shawn
  22. Looks good Rod!! How was the stuff to work with - cutting, seaming etc? Do you think there would be any issues with hooks getting caught in it if lures were dropped? Can the kids build leggo's on it? Ok, I know, poor attempt at humor thanks, Shawn
  23. Didn't see anything for New York State on there. That's too bad! Shawn
  24. Me two! and the 12 others who viewed and didn't reply. Good luck tomorrow Ray. Shawn
