what a difference a day can make.7 for 7,3 nice kings and 4 shakers.My brother took the first screamin wire and landed his first nice king in two decades.three shakers after that then the port rigger released with a limp line,I picked the rod up I felt a bump and off he went.after two nasty birdnest tangles and some not so friendly cussing another shaker.we needed one more nice king for jaychunter and finally the wire screamed again.much better day than yesterday as we fished all day,first in jayc's ride then in ours.one nice steelie in j's and skunked in mine.wire out 330 on 2.5 42nd flasher-fly.riggers at 97 and 130 with dw ss 42nd spoon down below a stacked pro-troll-fly taking 4 fish.

getting tougher all the time to find a good piece of ground.I help out the horse farmer down the road.I also do a lot of knocking on doors.My family also has permission to hunt some land in Naples because my Grandfather hunted down there over 40 yrs. ago.Don't get down there too much with gas the way it is and no place to stay.Not as many deer as there used to be down there,but we have seen bigger antlers the last 5 yrs.Knock,knock on some doors and you might be surprised.Many landowners appreciate the person who asks because so many people sneak on without asking.

yup,the old brown boat.Hit it early again Sunday morn,the fish were stacked in there again but could not get a fish to bite.Fished 4.5 hours and only had one release,no fish.Had a hard time keeping a constant speed with 3-4 footers and no down speed.It'll be a couple weekends before I get out again,unless I get sick.I have a hard time not fishing for one week much less two.Keep me informed if you get out.thanx bretter in the old brown boat.

out at 0 dark 30 and the screen was loaded 60-80fow.1-9#steelie 67' over 75fow ondreamweaver ss area 51.2-15# king on the wire 2.75 set out 180' on green holo crush spin doctor with green glow atomic fly.3-3# brown 67' over 85fow on area 51.4-2# steelie 45' over 85fow on stinger coyote.Couldn't keep rods in the water for a while then it went dead,fish disappeared off the fish finder by 8:30.Trolled out to 150fow,had two releases on stinger alewive but nobody home.Good day,glad to be back on the water.Will hit-em hard early tomorrow.brought a buddy from work and if you could have seen his eyes when we netted his steelie.PRICELESS!

nice report.I'll be fishing out of Hughes this weekend.the boat I observed on during the wayne pro-am didn't do so well.Sounds like the fishing might be tough with more salmon out deeper and scattered.Will prbably try for the browns early.Who knows they might be right on top,better bring the planer boards.thanks again and congrats on the nice finishes.
