Hey guys, i don't mean to clutter the forum with non-hunting posts, but i wanted to follow up with an update. A lot of you were aware of my newborn son needing major surgery after birth at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. He was born Monday morning, and went into surgery this morning st 9:45. Surgery lasted about 3 hours and was extremely successful (even more so than the doctors and surgeons thought possible). Just wanted to thank everyone that sent prayers and well wishes our way, it was very much appreciated! Our son Lincoln is back in the NICU where he will remain over the next few weeks for recovery. Thanks again, and congratulations to everyone that has harvested something so far this season. Now I've got a lot of reading to get caught up on the thread!! Thanks Joe, i appreciate the prayers. The timing could not have been more perfect this year. We are now in Baltimore getting started with the induction for our 3rd child. Sorry for the delay in response. Thank you all for the comments. My buck gross scored 147 3/4". My mom shot a 10 point 9 minutes after I shot mine, and my step brother shot a nice old 9 point the night before, all from the same property. Here are some of the pictures of the three bucks. Not sure if this qualifies for the contest or not, but i thought i would post it either way. My wife took this picture on McCarthy Rd in Addison, NY a few years ago while she was on a photo shoot with a high school senior. Sow with 5 cubs.

Congratulations TBoo on a very nice buck, and on soon becoming a father of 3. My wife and i are expecting our 3rd on November 6th. Unfortunately there are some concerns that will require a couple of major surgeries when he is born (all done through an open chest procedure). We have to be at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore for the birth and surgeries because of the specialized equipment required. I'm most likely going to miss all of gun season this year as our expected stay could be as long as a couple of months. However, some things in life are more important than being in the woods, and i'll gladly sit this season out in order to bring home a healthy baby at the end of all the chaos.
