From the chute head East and fish all the bluffs all the way to Moon Beach. There is a creek that dumps in just before that. look for stained/warmer water. if you hit nothing there head West and fish from Blind Sodus Bay towards "7" sisters. again you have to look for warm stained water. depending on the weather and the temperatures dont be afraid to fish anywhere from 5-30 FOW

This is my Youngest daughter and her smile absolutely melts my heart anytime she catches a fish. Its amazing how seeing a child "light up" anytime they catch a fish that brings things back into prespective.

any idea on how much weight? i dont want to go overboard but want them to make a difference

I have made a set of dual boards out of 1x8 Cedar and they track great but i have read that if you add weight to the outside board they will run better. I have seen some guys use decoy weights. My question is how much/what kind of weight to use for each board. 'Bout Time Mike

I am using 50 for the Mono piece. I cant remember what setting i have the release on I will have to make sure its set to the "stronger" setting.

i have searched this topic and have tried just about everything suggested. here is what i have I am having an issues with the copper staying in my releases off my big boards. I have 450 and 600 foot copper setups. I have a 10 foot piece of mono spliced in between the copper and the braid. I am using the big Scotty releases (from the stackers cut apart). I am just putting the mono straight in the release without twisting it and more often than not even the 450 will pull out. Should I twist the mono before putting it in the release? I have tried rubber bands but they are a PITA because they always take 3-4 tries to get it to hold. What do you prefer or use? Mike

I know this topic has been around before. im looking for a good design for boards for pulling copper without using Otter boards. I have 2 sets of duals made from 1 x 8 cedar and they pull decent but wondering if anyone has any better designs. mine are 28" long offset with a 30* at the nose. I've seen designs for 1x6 boards and even triple boards. just looking for any ideas. trying to make it through the winter blues Mike 'Bout Tine

I was wondering how is the Pine Grove boat launch. I have a 25' Trophy and was thinking about heading up that way during the week. Is the launch deep enough? Is there anything i need to know about it or is it pretty self explanitory?

I had the issue out of Fair Haven this last weekend. Riggers and Dipsies. Saturday I was 2 for 9, and Sunday I went 3 for 12. I was getting ready to throw my rods in the water and give up.

I have 2 riggers mounted on the corners and 2 mounted on the gunales. My question is what riggers should be run deepest? One of the corner riggers is my probe rigger. Should I run the 2 corner riggers the deepest and the 2 gunales up higher? I have 13 lb torpedos as well as 15 lb torpedos. which ones should I put the heavier weights on? Any suggestions? Selling my 93 Renken Classic 230. Has a 4.3 ltr V6 which runs strong. Oil changed every 50 hours +/-. New starter in '09. New impeller and T-stat last year. (4 ) 6" tracks for riggers and rod holders. (2) 12V wired plug recepticles for riggers. wired for 2 batteries w/Perko switch. Custom radar arch with (2) 55 watt flood lights. Chris, I am using 2 Wise Deluxe Deck chairs. They are aluminum and failrly light weight. They both fit in the cuddy with all my rods and gear and other seat cushions as well. They are little pricey but are comfortable and worth it when you have 4 on the boat. Mike
