  1. Ran it today on a local lake with some other trees that my buddy built. I didn't have any luck on them. Did pick up a few small lakers on a couple spoons, but was real slow fishing. I ran a about 1.7 on the gps, but think I could go slower yet. They seem to be spinning pretty fast at that speed. Any input?
  2. I am going to try to run them with flatfish on Sunday. I will let you know how it works out.
  3. Picked one up today to try for lakers. Has anybody used them and had any luck. I like them because they seem pretty light weight.
  4. Thanks firechief came through for me. I also found some on Cabelas site and ordered them also. Should be set for a while now!!!!!! Thanks to all Ryan

  9. That's what we call a cast and blast. Nice
  10. Ok I will try that. If I hold the back side with a pair of pliers it will tighten enough. I tried that tonight , but don't want to make steady habit of that because it will mar the snot out of it. That tells me that the disks aren't bad.
  11. I just got my riggers mounted on my boat and noticed that I cant tighten up the crank up enough to stop the line from pulling out. When I do the bolt on the other side spins? Do the washers stop that form happening, or is the clutch disc bad, or am I just being dumb and missing something?
  12. We use the snap weights with the 50 50 setup. We have never lost a weight yet.Not to say that it wont ever happen!!!!!!! Cabelas carries a whole kit now that is pretty reasonable.
  13. Cold steel did very good for Us a few years back! That was in the August, but I am sure he can find fish!!!
  14. Thanks guys. I doubt I will be running to deep. I am setting up hand cranks. My boat is only 16 ft so it probably wont see Ontario a lot unless in the spring for browns.I will leave that up to my buddies bigger boat.
  15. Thanks for the input. I am getting ready to mount my riggers on my boat and noticed I have a kink in the cable. Not sure where it is in the cable. If I have to replace it I may try it. I was wondering how much cable was on the rigger so I pulled it out in the house. NOT A GOOD IDEA AS IT GOT TWISTED LIKE A SPRING! Lesson learned the hard way!
  16. I am just wondering if anybody is using the power pro downrigger braid? Is it as strong as the cable, and any pros and cons?
  17. Yes they are. The shorelines haven't even begun to break up. I am actually thinking about going out to jig smelt today.
  18. I have a few different setups with different sink rates that I troll in back ponds for brookies. I would like to try it for them!!!!!
  19. Just wondering if anybody has tried trolling bright colored streamers on a fly rod with sinking line for the spring browns? Man if you could bet that to work what a blast it would be!!!!!!!!!
  20. Would you split them up? I am looking for boards and a planer board mast. If you would how much and where you located?
  21. Ditto on Copper kings statement. I tried finding the info and keeps putting me to a link that has nothing to do with it
  22. This is going to be a winter project for me. Thanks guys. I was going to spend the money and buy one, but this looks easy enough!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. Have any of you guys tried the live target bait balls trolling? I saw them tonight for the first time. They look pretty cool!!!!!
  24. Sent you a pm. I would like to hook up Thanks Ryan
  25. Interested in riggers. How long are the booms? Will they handle a ten pound ball? Also you are not going to be in Utica or Albany area anytime soon? Thanks Ryan
