  1. I have a Horizon Nova VHF Radio that I bought from Capt Vince P. I had planned to install it but I just did not get the time and am planning more on bass fishing than trolling. The radio is in perfect working order and in great shape as I never used it and stored it inside. $50 takes the radio. Pretty great radio for a good price. Radio was $380 according to original price tag.
  2. Ah Nevermind it seems that the waypoints are not able to be looked at from anyone but me. Oh well
  3. I hope you guys can see the waypoints. If you can't let me know
  4. Hey guys I was using a website I was directed to by a member of this site and I got busy marking some waypoints. I want to go spring and summer smallmouth bassin with my grandpa and cousins and I was wondering if the waypoints I marked are good bass catching locations. Just follow the link and check it out! Please let me know what you think! http://marine.geogarage.com/routes
  5. Yep thats what I am fishing is the thunderstick and thunderstick jr.s. Cant beat the action for the price
  6. Beautiful cause I have some nice, light, smaller, walleye candy spoons that I can run over the top
  7. Hey guys I was wondering if this technique would work in the summer when the browns are hugging bottom in around 70-80ft of water. Basically I am gonna run some nice natural colored stick baits off the ball just above the bottom and then stack some nice natural color NK spoons above those. I figure that the stickbaits are far more bait like than a spoon and I already know how effective sticks are in the spring, so it just seems reasonable that they would be dynamite off the ball in the summer. Plus then you got the spoons around 8 ft above as back up. Any insight as to whether this would work?
  8. Yah that is the wisest course of action. I got the itch real bad but I will just have to wait until I can afford such a trip. Not worth the haul down there and I am sure the steep learning curve is not easy either. I will just stick to busting up the steelies and browns at Oak Orchard. Thanks for the info guys
  9. Geez the bar and river have some beautiful depth changes. Its no wonder that the lakers, walleye and smallies find it appealing. What are the regulations with the Canadians and are they constantly checking boats out there?
  10. Hey guys let me just right off the bat establish that I have been super interested in fishing the Niagara River but I really do not know how to do so. I own a 17 ft Smokercraft bass/walleye boat and I was really interested in trying to fish the Niagara River out of it using the standard three way rig and tackle. However I have talked to a few buddies and they say I really need to go with someone (a guide) to get the lay of the land. I guess my question now is (and please don't take offense charter guys!) is that I am looking for someone to tag along with RECREATIONALLY who already fishes the Niagara. I am in college so I really can't afford to pay for a charter (unfortunately) but I was really hoping someone who already fishes this way would like a buddy to fish with and show the ropes of drifting of the Niagara for lakers, bows, and browns. I own a lot of my own tackle and I am proficient at drifting for steel and browns in rivers like the Oak and Burt Dam. I am not looking for a freebie or a handout, I just simply want to learn as I am always trying to make myself a more diverse sportsman. If anyone would let me just tag along (heck I don't even need to fish, I just want to learn!) I would be beyond grateful! and more than willing to throw gas money your way! I would be extremely grateful and willing to have you out on my boat sometime! Again I do not mean any offense to those of you who run charters, it is just that I can simply not afford to go on one! Throw me a PM if anyone on here feels like they would be willing to have me along! Thanks so much for just hearing this out!! Isaac
  11. Brockport, NY but hey I already acquired one! My buddy from next door offered me his old one so I am ready to rock! Thank you very much for the response though!!

  16. Thats amazing I may have to give it a shot
  17. Hey guys is it possible to jig in the winter for lakers? My Dad's friend owns a house on Seneca Lake and he said I could use it anytime. I will use it in the spring and summer and I will fish like crazy but I was wondering if it would be worth it to take a trip in the cold and try to jig up some lakers.
  18. hmmm that I might be able to handle could I get some specs on it in a PM?
  19. bit pricey for me but thanks for letting me know!

  22. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): Time on Water: 45 min Weather/Temp: Clear/ NA Wind Speed/Direction: SW 7 mph Waves: 2 or less Surface Temp: Location:Sandy Creek LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 1 Total Boated:1 Species Breakdown: Steel baby!! Hot Lure: DW 42 Trolling Speed: 2.5 Down Speed: Boat Depth: 90 fow Lure Depth: 70 fow ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== So I set out today in my modified bass boat on my second trip out with my newly acquired manual riggers. I went out Thursday with the rigs and almost boated my first fish but it threw the hook, today however was destined to be my day. Set up in 120 fow but saw most of the charters were in closer, so i closed the gap and trolled into 90. no sooner did I do that then I marked a huge bait ball and a big arc behind it. Soon as my spoons passed through I was hooked up with a beauty of a steelie. I got him close and netted him and my freakin Lake O curse is now behind me! I tell ya those riggers have just made life so so much easier than trying to run three dipsy rods. The steelie was a 9 lbr and I am a very happy fisherman, also this all happened in about 45 min from start to finish cause right after I boated the fish the waves really kicked up. But my confidence is way boosted and I cant wait to hit the 90 depth again cause it seems to be hot!
  23. Hey thanks man, that is encouraging I will definitely keep at it!
