  1. Is the site down? or am i just an idiot?
  2. that website worked, thank you.
  3. Sean , i do live on the boat from time it hits the water til the day it comes out. However, if you get away from the easy access marinas, your gear should be safe. Lock it up..tight. With my old boat, you couldnt tell it wa a fishermans boat, the new one, no way to hide it. However, locks only keep honest people out. I do not ever leave electronics on my boat, never! Seneca does die down in may on the south end, i find myself running about 6-10 miles before getting back into heavier fish. I like to make a weekend out of it and fish geneva end a few times a season. With the Nation Lake Trout Derby being one of them and the Red Cross another( missing it this year). If i had a trailer, I couldnt agree with these guys anymore...
  4. ROLLIE!! Where have you been, i have been worried sick!! its good to see ya back on here! I too was at the canal launch today. ice burgs everywhere!! But the canal is open about 20 yds past the launch. waves were rolling good today! See ya on the water!!
  5. Hey guys, anyone have any input on the volvo penta AQ 280 Duo Prop Outdrive removal for the bellows. I have dont plent of my alpha, but not volvo. I dont think i will have a biig issue, but figured i would need some insight on it before i tackled it. Thanks Guys in advance.. chime in Hank? nick
  6. The cayuga boys choose seneca because thats the only body of water they have fished , just kidding. Some people do notice a difference in how the lakes produce with tactics and what nots. Seneca is the mos unpredictable of them all, we can go from glass waters to 3 footers really fast, i am sure cayuga can too. However both south ends you will deal with sailboats and the weekenders, but once you run past hector falls, it tends to die off.. I slip in the canal in watkins glen, and i dont complain, Good people, gas docks, pump out... And the good fishing stays all season long! Plus theres always a boat to jump on. Slip pricing went up @ montour marina this season from what i have heard. Glen harbor is tough. Seneca Marine is close to the lake on the canal, but high dollar. I dock at Ervays Inc. I am a ten minute trip to the lake and its peaceful all summer, except for the rowdy crowd, but its always a good time. I hear marina is selling in spring. Possibly new owenership, maybe for the better? slips are not too bad, and you dont have to drive through town to get to your boat!!!!!!!! . If you have an other ?'s pm me. Nick
  7. 13lb torpedos from atomik...Cant go wrong. I have yet to complain. I also run 10 pound pancakes. They seem fine until going cross wind...
  8. Good job, we went out yesterday and today off the pier. Did one pike and brown yesterday, today Lost a good Landlock, and landed 3 pike right as it got dark. Cant wait to get the boat in the water 38 more days!!!
  9. no did not launch, i took salt and a shovel, but i fogot to hit the launch before i left. Bob had a date an was in a hurry
  10. Do the boards run true? stated never used, but do you know?
  11. watkins glen launch has ice, but its thin stuff, it wouldnt bother me to drive the boat through it, but others it might. it is icy, but the fishing still good, hit the pier and salt plant today..got a few good ones. nick
  12. Old tex, hit up the local warmarts, they still have mooselooks.... I run NK, 28's,4D's and Mags. Mags are a good deep spoon. Also, Michigan Stinger, DW SS, and Many many, O&M spoons.. Always have a mix up of other makes but those are my tops spoons. Always keep a Sutton or two on board when the going gets tough..Slow as you can go . Flasher/Fly, white on whites, and Black on black, Greens are usually my go to, But the Chromes get the job done on the sunydays for myself. A nice cheater rig i do that seems to hit all species is a Small Luhr Jensen dodger, with a peanut fly.. Worked well for Landlocks and Lakers all season. Good Luck, Nick
  13. Good job, but may i ask what Launch you went to on Seneca? The canal launch is frozen over yes, but Village Marina at the pier was clear all week?
  14. All of the information is helping. Thanks guys!! I found the NAV manual, but it doesnt specfy too much. My lowrance manual states the COM wires but its not stating which is the Data or Com.

  22. Awesome, thanks stevie tangles...Any idea how to figure out which wire is which? Also, i read into the Navico unit, and it stated that it will not turn on, unless it has gps signal. Which stinks because i dont know if it even works! the unit looks to be in great condition. so i am hoping it all works well
