  2. Paul, i recently invested in the tracks system as well, i went with the berts track system. i will be purchasing more rod holders for the tracks soon. and more tracks as well. i have the ratcheting rod holder, and they are awesome when it comes to getting the dipsy out of the rod holder. especially for the shorter guys who cant get the rod out of the holder . i had tite locks on my sea ray, after using the tracks system and the ratcheting rod holers, nothing compares to them. Also, you mentioned GLP, i currrently am waiting on my new rocket launcher to be completed from them. i cant wait to get it!! Captains Hard top special bass pro has the tracks system but you might find it cheaper here : http://www.shopatron.com/products/produ ... .0.0?pp=8& nick

  4. sampson, is open still. there is a potential possibility that they are gonna shut it down. but not this year. I signed the petition...alot of local marinas have the petition. Sign your life away fellas! It will be a hazard if they shut it down. having old unsafe docks...just suck it up and build new ones, this state has money!!
  5. average size 15-18 inches..biggest were 22 and 26
  6. I have fished off this boat, it is a comfortable boat to fish off. Alot of space, and in good condition.
  7. Well Men, fished seneca yesterday, and it is by far the best day fishing i have had in a long time. We hit the water by 7am and had fish on by 7:05 am. We decided to change it up and run high and fast. With Cores, rigger, flat lines... had 4 sticks flatlining, and two leadcores going. We were doubling, triples, quads, and a quint? 5 on at one time... when one fired, they all did. 3 color core, 5 color cores. Stinger spoons were the killer today, all colors. It was amazing. while putting lines in the water, we were getting fish, while hooking them to the boards, it would pull right out of your hand before you could even let go of the clip....It was AMAZING. With a rough estimate, and no BS, we pushed over 40 -50 fish easily. Browns, LLs, Lakers... The water clarity is like looking through a window. Lake stayed calm all day with a very slight breeze. North and south trolls produced. If you have a boat to get out there. DO IT! We kept a couple for the grill. Be out next weekend! Spring can't come soon enough. Tight lines! Nick
  8. Jim, don`'t you return calls? soon, i will uncover her mid march i think. i have alot of TLC to do. Rocket Launcher was ordered friday from GLP
  9. Glen, will your boat fit under the bridge?!?
  10. Thats a nice fish. The laker is at the taxidermists. I should have it back in april. the place that was on the red cross form said they were not aware that the ads said free mount to lunker winners. So i took my business elsewhere. I am furious, wheather it be red cross' fault or the taxidermists.. However we will be slipped at sampson for the trout derby this year. But fish out of watkins yr round. The marina has a launch right by my boat...4 bucks.. but you dont have to deal with all of the other launchers like you do atclute or the village marina..
  11. I hear ya. This past year was by far the best season i have ever had in my life, on Seneca Lake. We Caught fish no matter the conditions. However, for an entire month before the Red Cross Derby, i had the landlocks dialed in out of watkins with 6-9lbs LL's being the norm.. I was sure i could boat one in that range for the derby.. We tried everything and couldnt even do one the entire weekend...All of the setups that were golden, were firing lakers, browns, bows, but no LL's. The night of the fireworks in watkins, weekend before the derby, i boated a 7 lb LL. Kinda irritated me, bc it was a weekend too soon, right off hector in the weed/lice infected water. But, with the go to gear failing and all the lakers small on the south end, we ran the boat from watkins all the way to Lodi, this is where the action got great. We hit fish from lodi to sampson and back. All depth ranges, from 2 color LC to 110 down on the riggers..I have no idea why Lakers were so high in the water column, the surface temp was 75 degrees... This is where we got the Lunker for the red cross ... Lucky us. The week after the red cross, i was able to get the LL's firing again, on the go to setups.. When i sold the sea ray in august, i was without a boat for a two weekends. And with the "wife" telling me what to do, i dint fish for a while either. Til about September. When i got the trophy ready to roll. I couldnt put a fish in my boat to save my life. I dont know what happened from the second week of august til september, but i couldnt find fish to save me. To this day, i am still left stumped... So i am right there with you on the brain buster in cold fronts and even the hot hot hot dog streaks. I have fished in some of the worst weather on seneca, and still had better days than i did in september. After i am done rambling on..do ya agree?

  15. ok, to solve this issue, bobs 22 foot, has a high thrust 9.9 yamaha. after the annual lake trout derby last yr his main engine blew up. So this fall/winter we removed the big motor and glassed in the back of his boat. we mounted the motor in the middle of the transom. We have fished now a few times and it handles like a dream. the 9.9 pushes that boat no problem at about 8-10 mph WOT. we troll with it and dont even know the motors running and thats even high chop water...I dont think you can go wrong with a 9hp. And seans parker, his 9.9 pushes that 23 ft boat no problem, i have seen it first hand. Now Glens 24 foot welcraft, he has a 15 hp honda, and that handles the water excellent too. Super quiet. But a 9.9, you wont be disappointed. But if you find a 15, or maybe two with controls, let me know, i need one for my 28ft trophy. Longshaft. gotta get the hydraulic trim too.
  16. Almost makes me wanna put a flexfuel engine in my boat.
  17. If you need a hand, let me know, were not far from each other!!
  18. Not a problem, its somewhere near the mini mart and the vol fire dept. You cant miss it. let me know, if not i can make a few calls for you.
  19. thats awesome blueghost. I wish my fish from redcross was on video... I cant believe i didnt realize my redc cross winning laker was bigger than the may derby winner.. makes me smile... however, i wont probably see a big on my boat like that for years now.
  20. good show for the most part. bought some neat spoon storage system. Met Mark in cortland and rode with him Thanks again Mark and Nicole.
  21. Throw your releases out fellas!!! I use releases yes, but use rubberbands, dollar store... works grat for copper and core, even dipsys. as far as gettin em down the line, just coax it along... with the bands, if u have a cookie cutter on there, you see every bit of action on the rods too. works great and never fails.. just remember to run the higher lines out to the board!! tight lines.
