  7. Ok. The one drop a month works for me. I don't fish Ontario just Seneca lake but I love these things. Plus they aren't bulky like the cannon.. Sent from my XT907 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Those hydraulic actuators are very temperamental to tow height. Make sure you're towing at a height that does not constantly apply brake pressure Sent from my XT907 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Nice report. Seneca can be ruthless. I recognize the shoreline. Good area. Nick Sent from my XT907 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  13. Simple coil check for 12 at hot side and make sure key 12 is at post followed with 12 to post to starter. If so, your problem lies between the two. Be sure not to use a test light as a bulb lights with .3v half the time.. You want to see a good reading at the above studs on coil and starter. Be sure to double check the new starter was grounded properly. Check back with us. I don't own a merc outboard buy have had my hands in a few. I prefer the old model motors myself. Miss the smell of our 68 Larson with a 40 rude on her.. Sent from my XT907 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. My old dock neighbor used to keep his merc on solar charge. His motor would never crank if it didn't have 12.4 at all times.. Always double check those connections at battery. If even tight or appear clean. Clean them again. No sense in throwing parts at it especially if it's so simple. You said it just clicks. Is the starter engaging to the fly wheel by chance? 18. Too slow. That's OK for Lakers down deep as they get some action. However I run these from 65 up to top water at speeds of 2.0 to 3 at the ball.. I target silvers mostly. The Lakers are just a perk to keep rods moving. Guys tell me all the time its too fast. It works! Proven. Even the Lakers hit at those speeds. I believe the big one we got was at 2.2 down fifty or so and Joe was bringing the rigger off bottom which means that fish was hauling to Chase the speed and rise in in depth change to hit it. Don't be afraid to run fast. I had to change a lot of my spread for them to work. Best decision ever. I don't lose paint anymore, just lures to big fish!!!! 23. It's unfortunate. Sorry to hear. I too had a deal similar to above noted post by slow rolling. Had a good deal. Spent an entire day to to see it. I inspect it. Guy thought I was going to pay. I was setting up a surveyor to view boat and the seller got shady. Quick. A survey is worth its weight in gold... So to speak. I bought my boat from a reputable marine. 300 hours a new motor... Please. Two years later it blows. That motor had more like 10,000 hours. The rings were so bad it was a joke. But I will continue to keep putting money in it. Its all part of the game! Last night I bough a jet ski. Cut price in half with guy if he wouldn't water test it. He wouldn't, so now its a gamble. I'm prepared. If it works cool. If not. No hard feelings. Good luck with the rest of your season. Nick Sent from my XT907 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
