    BW Customs in Sodus. He does excellent work therefore he is always busy. You will probably have to wait a while. I had a swim platform rebuilt and had to wait 6 months just to get it in.

    It will soften it but by no means dissolves it. It will still require scraping and cutting.

    I found this motor in my father in-laws basement and it needs a little work. It starts and runs ok but won’t stay running unless I keep squeezing the fuel line bulb. Also I replaced the impeller but it won’t piss out water. I put the lower unit in a bucket of water and spun the driveshaft with my drill and water shoots out of the water pump but when it’s all assembled nothing comes out the hole. Blew air through the line and doesn’t seem plugged. I’ve put in $150 of new parts including - spark plugs - impeller - fuel cap and gasket - prop shaft oil retainer - bearing case o ring - gear case seal - gear oil - shift cradle Its a model 9822E and Pugsleys Marine has had all the parts in stock. I’m not an engine guy and don’t want to look into this any further. Comes with a small gas tank. Asking $225 Located in Webster call Pete at 585 216 5298

    I believe it is a weep hole to allow a small amount of gear oil to drip out if when the seals are starting to wear. Had this happen to me afew years ago. Is the boat used ?

    I have always had Mercruisers with alpha 1 drives and would run a 5 gallon container of pink antifreeze thru the outdrive with muffs to winterize the engine. New boat has Volvo 5.0 GI engines with duoprop drives. Can I winterize thru the drives with muffs or is it better to drain the water out of engine and manifold and water pump hoses? Also if I do drain the water out do I have to back fill it with antifreeze? The Volvo manual just says to have a certified Volvo mechanic do it.

    I really don’t want to drill a hole in the bottom of my boat. The p79 is only like 125 bucks, if it doesn’t work out and alot of detail is lost I can always do a transom mount. This is a project for next year so I have a little time to think about it.

    I am switching from a totalscan transducer for my lowrance carbon 9. Never used the side scan and hardly ever the down scan. I mostly troll for salmon. I have been looking at the airmar P79 which is 50/200. It looks pretty easy to install. My question is I see that they make model called XSonic P79. What’s the difference other than the standard P79 is 7 pin for lowrance and the XSonic is 9 pin. Thanks in advance.

    Here are some pics of lowrance hds9 carbon with split screen showing fish in riggers, on bottom, thermocline, swimming down, waypoints.
