  1. WTB Okuma CV55LS text 585-747-8178 if you have or can get me one.
  2. Rob we have done that for years without much trouble. Just wondering if maybe that 2nd Copper was a popular option. Anyhow Thanks for your input.
  3. You already have 3 riggers down and 2 Coppers on the boards. Now you want to run some rods between the outer rod and the boat, you going for a Copper midway down the line or a Diver??
  4. When I could look around I saw a few boats out there. Was the bite insane for everyone?? Lost track but we boated 8 or 9 over 20#. That makes for a hectic morning. Best Salmon day ever.
  5. You are correct the fishing West especially from about Bald Eagle to the Niagara River is much better than the Hamlin to Sodus stretch. This is due to the overall conditions being better with the fish having better access to deep water, and more food available. Also as season progresses the East end tends to dominate the leaderboards.
  6. It was a tough bite out there today, water temp was all over the place, the waves and then the current was crazy. We did catch 6 biggest a little over 20, better days coming soon.
  7. I think you trolled next to our boat for a bit then you peeled behind us. We went a little deeper and got a 26lber. White Hardtop Thompson.
  8. Braid is highly visible, stronger, more abrasion resistant and thinner, plus the no stretch thing.
  9. I am wondering about setting up my rigger reels with 100lb braid and 100ft Floro leader. Anyone tried it?? Good or Bad?? What are you guys thinking??
  10. I too fished in the OOO open, the boat I was on.manged a 6th place finish and won a bracket, we struggled on size and sounds like we had similar tactics going on. From the looks of Rob"s box seemed like the fish where more East on Sunday.
  11. Where you going out of?? First boat, do you know how to run all the gear?? Have fun, Browns are a great place to start.
  12. My fishing partner took a group of co-workers out yesterday from Braddocks, 10 color fires and the fight is on, during the fight the fish all of sudden picks up strength after a lengthy battle the fish is ready to net, at that time it is noticed along with the 20lber is a length of copper line. While bringing in the snagged copper by hand it pulls back!!! finally get that in and net that fish, a 23lber, stranger than fiction...... ****Did anyone on here lose a decent fish near Braddocks on a copper rod while trolling a UV Wonderbread Spoon??*****
  13. Do you have a fishhawk?? Put deep rigger at 45*, high rigger at 50*, you should be able to get a few. Make sure you have a green/glow/UV meat rig deep.....
  14. Brined some Familiar Bite for a couple days in the fridge, then vacuum sealed them and tossed them in freezer for a much more convenient way to handle them. Let you guys know how it works out. But the green seems good in on water tests out producing natural in every test.
  15. What is it?? Where is it?? GPS #'s??
  16. Nice Fish!!!! yeah it has slowed down there a lot, no rhyme or reason fish just scattered.
  17. Back-N-Black entered for Saturday, excited for this...………..
  18. I am wondering about attaching a fly or meat rig to the rear of a flasher with just a snap right threw the hole in the back of flasher. This would impart more action to the rig towed behind. Anyone have any input on this before I cut the rings of a couple to try??
  19. A rag top is not the best to upgrade, can you feel it flex any?? broke the roof in a few of my modified T/A's. But awesome ride, love them.
  20. You guys soaking and or dying the Familiar Bite?? I want to try dying it the Chartruese and soaking it in extra salt....
