  3. Take large perch over stinky pike any day!!!! The old pir is the sunk and only a couple feet below the water as you head out in the lake. If you launch at the marina go across the bay, head at the little island to the right and then go out into the lake . Go slow you will see it. If you have polarized glasses you will see the pike on the bottom.
  4. Well said Chad, I was in the bay a few days ago and there were pike all over lying on the bottom just west of the old pier. Some hogs too! The pier had smallmouth and perch on it. The water is clear and them pike were spooky. Early morn with shiners under a clear float should do it, and again before dark. Large curly tails in clear smoke at 5'' work great just befor dark. Swim them slow and let them drag in the sand for a foot then pop em out and swim them. That works for me..
  5. Thanks bro, he is doing great, and now he is a movie star to boot!!! Ill fill ya in when I see ya. Good luck.
  6. Oh by the way Matt, I have to work, no time if I want november off

Bunch of steele with the largest around 9 lbs. NBK mag and 28's took most fish of riggers while the dipsey power pro at 155 took both big fish of the day. 10. Never met a walleye in the live well I didnt like!!
  11. Great day!!! Love watching the kids have fun, its all about fun.
  12. ok ill give you just enough to get you started, I fish that lake alot for walleye. Are they there ,yes. Are they hard to catch, YES!!! Traditional walleye fishing rigs need to be tweeked. Forget about trolling, that lake will eat every lure in your box. I have caught them with worm harnesses and inline planers, but that too is a pain in the ass. In a nut shell WOOD,WOOD,WOOD!!!!!! Them walleys are in the wood after spawn and do not travel far from it even at night. Forget about pressure, that lake has none. Locals yes, if i see a few guys on the lake fishing walleye the whole season thats alot. You pass by and see a truck and trailor at night its prob mine. Almost the whole lake has good drops around it. Find the drops that hold a lot of wood and your in. I mean wood that is stacked and thick. Trees fall off the cliffs and sink whole, they make jiant piles and the walleye hold in them. That lake also holds golden shiners, a ton of them. I use slip floats and shiners with a light wire hook and fish it down in the wood on the drops. Thats how you are gona catch them there. Sometimes you get the schools of crappie too. The perch pop is doing alright, lots of small size that the walleye are eating. Gobies are there also, have found gobies perch and shiners in a single walleye. So they are eating it all. The walleye are mostly in the 1 1/2-4 pound range, my biggest from that lake was 9 1/2 pounder out of season. As far as finding the eyes use good sonar. I use my sonar and a camera rigged on a very long extention pole I made. Any ways, live bait is the key, fished in the wood. You will have to find your own honey holes

A ton of steel action with a cool quad that made a mess but we boated them all. While dropping to 90 I had the rod start bouncing and hooked up while it was in my hand, that was cool. Had a dubb on one rod, that was cooler. Biggest steele was 11 pounds. Biggest king around 12. Anything green. Had a screamer snap my dippsy off, that sucked. Boys had a blast. Wife broke a nail while fightin big steele, sat on a NBK and got hooked in the ass, but didnt complain a bit. Going back in am. Good fishing to ALL!!!! ====================
  16. NO WE ARE NOT, NOT TODAY NOT TOMORROW AND NOT THE NEXT DAY EITHER. WE ARE IN, AND ALWAYS WILL BE IN THE SAME BOAT. IN FACT ITS GETTING WORSE. I DONT MEAN TO TURN THIS INTO BASH FEST BUT PEOPLE CANT STICK UP FOR IGNORANT BEHAVIOR. BORDER PATROL IS NOT TRAINED TO CONDUCT A DRIVE BY OR A STOP IN THAT FASION. THEY WERE WRONG. THEY DO NOT SIT IN ROLL CALL AND HAVE THEIR SGT. SAY "LETS SEE WHO PISSES THE MOST PEOPLE OFF TODAY". THERE IS A ROLL OF PROFESSIONALISM TO FOLLOW IN ANY LAW ENFORCMENT LINE OF WORK. THE WAY THEY CONDUCTED THAT "DRIVE BY' WAS WRONG!
  17. bump, and thanks for all the buisness you guys!!!!!!
