  1. Nice picture! Those little ones sure can be aggressive.
  2. Nice fish! Congrads!
  3. Great job. Thanks for the report. Fish gods must be generous to you giving a new rod and reel!
  4. Sounds like a great day on the lake. It was good to meet you lakebound. Its great to put a face with the name.
  5. I love hearing from all the guys who fish the horrible weather. Great Job!
  6. Congrads ladys. Great job!
  7. Its a good coarse to take! Mandatory if you want to drive a jet ski. I took mine a couple of years ago with the wife. Father in law would not let me take her out on the boat unless I took the coarse. Hope this next weekend has some better weather.
  8. The waves sure were stacking up. The guys I tried taken out did not much like a white cap let alone those waves. Glad you guys said something to those kids. Probably saved there lives. I got to hand it to you and your dad for fishing in this weather. Not an easy day on the lake. Hope all the guys who fished the Scotty made it back ok.
  9. Looks like some Goood Eating smoked fish. Going to have to give that recipe a try.
  10. When it comes to jigging I am 100 percent behind braided line. So many different pros to it. No stretch= you feel everything from light to heavy bites not to mention when you are fighting your fish you feel every thrash they throw at you. Lot more strength in the line. Setting the hook is more effective. Only two cons that I can think of is price and fleas. Braid just attracts fleas for some reason but not so much a problem when jigging.
  11. I love it. It sure looks unique. I think I would just die to hear the chugging sound trolling Congrads
  12. Here is the Link of the Reg in the Angling def. http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/33067.html I beleive they are talking about changing it to 3 rods soon. Not sure though.
  13. 9.5lb Walleye On Owasco? Really? That is awesome. Biggest I caught jigging was 4 lb which was the last time I was over there back in Early June. Same day I had my crankbearing go on my 96 90 Johnson. That was a bad day. Did not get off the lake till 130 in the morning after being on the lake for 13 hrs with no food and had to work the next morning. LOL Great catch. Thanks for the report. Planning on going out tomorrow on Cayuga if I can find a break in the weather.
  14. Good to hear. Thanks for the update.
  15. I have these on my boat and love them! I have placed my big net in one and forgot about it and drove down the lake and it never bunged. They hold up great and move in all directions. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templ ... jsp.form23
  16. I run mine 6' but most guys go with the length of their rods. No longer then the length of your rod or you won't be able to net your fish.
  17. I am interested in the Plannerboard mast. I get out of work at 6 this evening at Cayuga Med and can pick it up after that. Thanks Rob
  18. Sounds like a great day fishing to me. Just need some Pics I have not had much luck with dodgers but have had great luck with spindoctors and even protroll flashers. The big dodgers I have a problem with them spinning when they are suppose to sway back and forth. Which tells me that I am trolling to fast for them but I like trolling at down speed of 2.0 to 2.5. I'm just getting into trolling so I'm no expert. I been fishing Cayuga more then Seneca but on both lakes green spindoctors and a green flys been working for me. White and purple has also been producing. ATomMik and BigWeenie flys are what I run. Leader length 22 to 24" between flasher and fly.Hope this helps get you even more fish. Oh I have been running my dipsys at 3 setting 310' and 355' on Cayuga but Cayuga the thermocline is a lot deeper but I just target lakers and the Salmon.
  19. One other option is to run braided line although I am a fan of wire. Now the fleas are gone you can get away with it.
  20. Those are some healthy looking fish. I just started trolling a couple months ago. I have yet to catch a bow so I'm going to have to work on that one. Thanks for the pics.
  21. Trying to get out Sunday. Hope to see you guy out there. Just got to find a fishing partner.
  22. Thanks. I knew I wanted the wire rods and I was going to wait to get them but after going out with him and fighting those lakers on one I just had to get my boat rigged with them. If it were for every ones help including lil troller and all the reading I have done, I sure would not have caught as many fish as I have this quickly. Thanks again.
  23. Thats a nice salmon. Thanks for the report.
  24. I bounced mine all over the place. I have 3 riggers. Center being the one with the depth raider. Put the center at 105 to 110 ft all day. That put me in 49 to 52 degree water temp at a down speed 2.0-2.5mph. 10lb ball. My side riggers I moved through out the day ranging from 60' to 139' but I mainly stuck to 90 to 115' I ran spoons with sliders on side riggers. Green spinny and green atommik fly on the center with a cheater spoon. Swapped the spoons out for spinnies and flys toward late evening. Had a few hits but no hook ups. Dipsys did all the work. They just were on fire.
