  1. that red lund is Frank Campbell.... he just knows how do it... hes the best in the buisness.. and doesnt give any secrets away
  2. i disagree with all of the above i had mine on tracks and hated them no matter how tight you make them they wobble alot and get loose if its flat all the time they are nice but in my opinion bolt them baby's down.. i have tracks for everything else but skip the downriggers
  3. Just wanted to thank the commitee for working so hard at this.. the more i read and think about the format i realize how awesome this is. i agree with certain reconigtion for "am" teams keeping the same rules that qualify a non pro team. i Fished the Niagara Am division last year because my mentor and friend capt Matt Yablonksy was out of town. well with my wished washed team all the fish we needed to win hit the the transom of my boat but with inexpierenced people things happen and we didnt put up our limit...thats on me!! we would have finished top 3.... there are way more things that will beat yourself that we need to focus on ... improve.. get good ... practice ... practice ... and kick some ass.... were in for at least the Niagara and i look forward to whats ahead there are good people working on it and i believe they will have the best things in place... see ya there!! ---Mike Barry----
  4. totally a money grab for the larger boated - more equipped boats... i do really well fishing out of a small boat and win often.. but way too much for an am team to fork out with obvious disadvantage.

  7. Go see Steve Drab... at Creek road bait and tackle hes a river captain and has a nice small shop and and has everything you need.... and hes only a couple min from the fort
  8. On Behalf of Capt Matt and The rest of our team we really appreciate everyones congrats... we knew this year a Laker could take it with everything off to a late start... we put more hours in on this thing than anyone can possibly imagine.... usually fishing till the scales close.... our program is so unique and just does serious damage... this year between both our boats our numbers were down due to the lovely water conditions but still well over 150 fish for this year... this is the second overall win for Matt in an LOC event in less than a year winning last sumers LOC... small boats can do it too!!... we finished all four of us in the top five with John Shay catching a 22 lb king on our peanut light tackle... now that was sweeet.... even smoked the clicker out of a 400 series Calcutta!... good times...
  9. Great Fish i was the guy in white boat behind ya when you weighed it in..... A member of "Team wet Net"... we caught one exactly that size last year to win!!.... its a great fish.. but we are not giving up yet... congrats!
  10. Just curious if anyone has gotten a registration card in the mail yet? i signed up online checked reciept no numbers i can see to use for weighing in fish...
  11. agree to all!! .... Tony i would really read up alot on the shallow water Brown trout fishing... you mainly fish shallower than 30 fow at all times and it can produce some fantastic days.. last year you could fish browns all summer long just outside of Olcott and wilson east and west in shallow water... gear is light and sometimes less is best for these spotty's .... master that and move up!
  12. i use track systems.. i dont think it matters between traxtech or berts cause they are the same besides the finish.... i wouldnt use the downrigger mounts with the tracks. i used them all last year and was not happy at all they would loosen up and flop your downriggers all over... fixed bases and tracks for everyhting else!!
  13. myself and about 5 friends are in.. should be a good year for it!!
