  1. No Way. You gotta hit um one last time Sat. Morn. They're gonna be hitting like Crazy Sat. morn. For reel!!! If you pull in to home camp "PA" anytime past midnight Sat. night you've done good!!! Either way, you did some business this year! WTG Cous@!!
  2. Fantastic! Congrats to Sammie and the crew!
  3. This is all so interesting and I am glad to see others taking interest in the whys, hows, whens, ect. ect. It shows people care about the fishery and it's long term success. Nice job Chuck!
  4. WTG Cous! I hope you stay on them with Eddie Scott & son. The Pig is taking his Center Console for it's Maiden Voyage tomorro. I think he's gonna launch at Lansing. Nice report!!!
  5. Smaltcody: Can you elaberate on the lures/bait/presentation? I usually struggle when the kings get in 50ft or less right before thier river run.
  6. Nice job Koot. Way to keep the family and friends in to the fish. Those are some nice pics. Stay warm this winter.
  7. An assortment of bucktail and marabou jigs would be worth a try especialy if you were trying to match what they were feeding on.
  8. WTG Kooter. Last year at The Oak I killed them in 20 -50 ft of water right in frt of the wall on 18Sep. Next day Skunked. I did run really long leads "75 ft" S/Ds/ flys. Amazing how one day they likey the next not so much., Still doing flood victim support down here. Good luck out there fellas. Thanks for posting!
  9. Quite often in NY you can call the D/A, usually the Assisant DA and have it reduced over the phone. This is usually 1 step down, which would still be a speeding ticket. Ideally she would like to get it reduced to something like "failure to obey a traffic device which is a 2 pointer. 2 steps down usually require face to face. I have gotten 2 steps down over the phone when I pleaded my case dramatically over the ph that I was inocent. It's worth a shot. On a more sour note my own county will tell you to go pound sand, show up and stick it to you as they are broke and use ticketing as a form of revenue. It is quite important to get that 1st ticket reduced to a non moving violation which is a 2 pointer. If you don't and you get 3 points, the next ticket in 18 months, they won't reduce and you will end up with 6 points and they automatically tack on a $300 fee. My last ticket: $555.00. It's worth a shot. Good luck. On another sour note all of us down here are still helping people in thier time of need after losing everything in the flood. I was POed as hell yesterday as I was in a convoy moving my friend to a new house and those guys had a radar sting set up rather than utilizing thier man power to patrol looters, direct trafic ect ect. right thier in desimated Owego.
  10. SD/flys keep working even in close. Here's my Oak reportfrom last yr 18Sept viewtopic.php?f=14&t=20572&hilit=oak
  11. I commend you on your play by plays on the boat and in camp. I had access to a smart ph for a few days on our trip and could bareley get signed in to LOU on my friends ph. The report I got in without pics never showed up. Again you do a super job. Those little buttons are hard to hit when your 8 miles out in a 19ft alum. the morn after a hurricane. I look fwd to more of your reports
  12. I tried calling you on the radio out of FairHaven last week. I was on 68 . Did you fish out of FaiHaven or Oswego? I heard very little chatter on 68 in FH. Do they use a diff channel there?
  13. Thanks for the Possitive response guys. The footers under the pics are actually the headers for the pics below so it may look like fish are incorrectly labeled. I asked everone if they wanted to enter the derby and no one wanted to so none are on the board. I sent them the leaderboard to let them know what they lost. Bo Ho. I have been without power for 3 days and our area, Binghamton and Owego, have been desimated with flooding. Fortunately I live at 1495ft.

The biggest my boat has had in it up till this last week was a 28lber. Broke that 5 times this week with: 29, 29.75,32,32,34. Lots of fun, bobbles, luck, and storys were made this week. Had some green horns on the boat. You know the ones that reel the level winds upside down and backwards to match there spinning reels. Well they got edjumicated fast on this trip. Once I hooked a few and did rod hand offs I told them they were on their own. When #2 rigger released limp I yelled "Fish on". After about 5 seconds pointing at the rod and then another 5 to grab it, Alex, my friends 12 yr old grandson works the rod out of the holder. I told him to reel and he said nothings there. I yell reel as fast as you can. Still nothing there but # 1 rigger rod tip dives hard, goes limp and now has line floating in the breeze behind it. Then all hell breaks loose as Alex's drag starts screaming. The fish charged #1 rods bow line and cut it. SD and fly were still in rease on #1. Alex faught this fish for 45 min and it still had attitude at the boat. Here is Alex with his 34lber. ==================== This next 32lber we all took turns fighting for an hour. He just kept depth sounding. I thought he was in one diver, pulled it, not in it. thought he was in the copper. Pulled it nope. He went to the other side same deal. I was impressed in the difference in fight on these high 20s , low 30s fish unless it was because they were still out deep. This fish was still nasty at the net. I pulled a 400 and 500 copper for quite a few days off boards with only one hit and catch. And who's turn was it? The poor guy who had a gut acke all day. My ol pal Zann. He managed well and pulled this beautiful fish in. 11 lb Steelhead the boy caught Nice looking fish Steve with a steelhead My new record 29lb. Ya I know 3 other people on my boat got me beat Ray with a 29lber My deepest fish I ever caught 158 down Rickie with his 1st Lake O fish Ray with a brown that was part of a double with another king Big wienies Rons morning woods 1st fish Everyone left me to fish solo the last day and on my way out a fellow LOU member broke down so I towed them back While towing them in I cut across the bay and inside of another boat that was fishing and dinged up my prop. Had to "adjust" the pitch with a hammer and off I went. It took a while to get out 7miles but once I did I scored a fiesty teenager and then a 25lber to end the trip on a good note. Was only able to catch fish inside one day 140ft - 190. The rest of our trip was mostly in the 500s. Biting flys tore us up on Sat. Divers took alot of teenagers and cohos that I haven't included. I am surprised the coppers didn't get more .I learned that walker divers on #2 with 320out will hit bottom at 120, where a lure J mag doesn't hit at 90. Great trip.

  16. Hey we get to do some Pre and Post Hurricane Lake O fishing again. I hope gas prices don't jump from $3.70/gal to $7.40 like they did when we were fishing Catfish creek during Catreena. Tell Gilligan, oops I mean Stanley Steamer to get Packin!!!
  17. Again thanks for the tips Rick. Packing for the 9 day trip now. Can't wait to get on the water. Will try and post on the water with my friends smart phone. We may be a bit Techy challenged.
  18. Nice report! I appeciate all the info. I just recieved a 400 & 500 copper yesterday. I used to run meat behind 11" slashers and paddles on riggers. Are the 11" useable on the copper or do you down size to 8in attractors on copper?
  19. Will dipseys or slide divers run off planer boards? If so what releases would be used?
