    Random question for you guys.....does anyone ever use salmon carcasses for bait? If you have, how'd it work out? I was curious, so put out two walleye carcasses a few months ago to see what would hit them. All I got were vultures, fisher, and a couple coons. Talking to a guy, he said nothing really touches walleye except the birds. Just wondering if it's worth taking up freezer space with a bunch of dead salmon.

    I use the BN2227C for walleye and salmon, plan to use the BN3136S, but you won't believe how hard it is to find a hoop/net without a handle......I prefer the rubber nets for eyes. Salmon, prefer nylon net due to the weight when the net us fully extended.

    I've never used those weights, but make sure the fins are straight. Next thing I would suggest is lowering the riggers a bit slower and see if that helps. You never did specify what's getting tangled, your lines or riggers cables.
