  1. the only bright side it the offense DID get 28 points. Most games, that's enough to get a win, assuming the $100 million defense shows up. I know, I know, Fitz did throw 3 int but that will happen when your receivers/tight ends can't run a route correctly.
  2. lake (Erie) was warm last year and how much snow did we get? I started the sleds twice last year.....just to get the oil flowin. They never left the trailer.
  3. plus the offshore forecasts show a few days later in the week
  4. picked up this guy this weekend, kinda looks like a pirate. Other side of his jaw was fine. YYAAARRRRR MMAATTEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!
  5. makes sense. i did find it hard to believe that there would be that much difference, and that abruptly.
  6. Well, I know what THIS telling me, but how would I use this to my advantage? I know they are just surface temps and don't indicate variation of temperature at depth, but if I had a choice to launch out of the Oak or Olcott, would I choose Olcott because of the variation in temperatures or go to the Oak where there looks to be more stable water temps?
  7. Haven't been on a charter in years so can't really comment on #1. But for #2, I'm guessing it differs captain to captain, but if you are spending a bunch of dough on a charter for a day or two, what's another $30 for an LOC ticket? (or $15 for a single day). Imagine what it would feel like to catch a $20,000 fish, but didn't spend the $30 to get it........ It happened in this summer derby........
  8. what the hell did i just watch
  9. glad to see there are still a good number of chrome out there. Wasn't sure how soon they would start turning because of the weird (good) summer we are having
  10. I was thinking scale too, but the pic with the steelie makes it look like a fixed hook making it look like a gaff.
  11. We use the bigger ones (holds up to blue label) since whole bait is cheaper. Plus we can make our own strips if we want and still works fine in the larger heads.
  12. is that a gaf in the pics?? If it is, i'm sure it's illegal to even have it on the boat. Just lookin out for ya.
  13. we run ours behind 12" Oki Kingfishers or Capt. John's 12" flashers with good results. Different color combos/leader lengths depending what the fish like that day.
  14. We had about 2 on our boat this year out of Olcott. One or two more release when we pull the fish outta the water. Remind me quite a bit of the alien worms in Dreamcatcher.
  15. I think you just blew bandrus1 mind.....
  16. What he said. Quick search online. Excellent knives. I also have a smaller Cutco for smaller cohos and walleyes. Great knife also, but for the kings, go with the Forschner
