  1. Yes, we'll be churning through the lakers I'm sure. 2 years ago we culled 42 lakers in our tourny. M P B Lots of work.
  2. Very nice report Anthony. Those small lakers do cook up well. With the lack of bait, I'll bet any size, shape or color lure would've caught those hungry lakers. Just have to put it in their range. Your Trophy set up looks sweet.
  3. Awesome Anthony, sure would like to join you and Jeremy some day.
  4. Congrats Mike, what a pig!! See you Sunday
  5. Very nice report Anthony. I like your wire basket idea for you boards. We'll have to get together on big O for a fish one of these days.
  6. I have one for sale in good working order. I'm taking it to the FLTA flea in Watkins. PM me and make a fair offer. Scott B
  7. Snagged this one on Seneca last year. Went back in pieces.
  8. From myself and I assume all the members of the FLTA, Thank you Nick for a great job last year running the show and also for taking the reins again this year. See you at the meeting tonight. Scott
  9. Nice report Anthony. Good catch Jeremy!!
  10. It does help slightly moving the weights forward. On both the 22's and 44's. I've even installed 11/4" foam versus the 1" standard foam. My pic shows both thicknesses.
  11. Bobby, how about a final weights and winners board? Scott B
  12. Thanks Anthony. Missed you and Jeremy
  13. I don't know if anyone has tried this, but last Sunday during my FLTA tournament. My tx-44 planers were struggling to stay afloat pulling 400 copper and 11 core. I removed both weights, burrowed a hole in the center and re-installed only one weight in the bottom center. WOW, what a change. They floated and pulled 30% better.
  14. Way to go Nick. Nice batch of fish👍
  15. Good going Anthony. You certainly put your hours in on the water! Hope to see you at a club meeting, banquet or at least the FLTA Flea.
  16. Well done Anthony and congratulations, we had all bad luck Sunday.
  17. I'd get yourself a bigger net. Silver fish that size won't give you an opportunity to bring in by hand. I've even extended my net handle. Filled all the hollow tubes with Great stuff so it floats.
  18. Nice video Anthony, that set up will work in a couple weeks for the Seneca FLTA also.
  19. I certainly agree with all the theories on how this laker survived and it's age. Here is another theory. Say sometime in the past few years a fisherman from one of the great lakes caught a very large laker. Lives near Canandaigua lake or drives by it on way home. Kept the fish in the live well. To his surprise, the fish survived, and instead of mounting or eating, the fish was set free in Canandaigua Lake.
  20. Yes on the core, copper and SS wire. Tx44 on the heavier copper.
  21. Just one 12 lb. laker
  22. 13 lb , 12lb 12oz., 10lb 10 oz. Browns and 12lb 12lb 14oz laker. For more info check our the FLTA on facebook.
  23. We launched out of Woodville at 5 am with plans of running north to whiskey point. A little late and calm water changed my mind at dock. Set up as soon as we hit 20fow with a top line, 3 color, 5 color, 100 steel, 200 copper, 300 copper, downrigger, and 2 braided steel twilley rods as soon as we hit 100fow. North troll up the east shore. 6lb. and 5lb. Lakers came on a spiny and Duke fly. ( Thanks Mike) 1lb.9oz rainbow came on cheater/slider yellow blue dot spoon on downrigger. 5lb. 8oz rainbow came on a real rage watermelon spoon (Thanks Scott) 3 color core. Figured I needed one more good laker to weigh. Pulled one twilley rod and put out a old fashioned rig rod dragging bottom with a 50 sutton as bottom spoon. Caught (4) 2-21/2 lb. lakers in 40 minutes. Changed 50 to an 88. Never caught another laker. Managed to finish 4th among the monster fish brought to the weigh in. Rookie mate Kasey in pics. Congratulations to John Wild on the win.
  24. I've been using this knot for the last 4 years. Never had it brake. It will pull the swivel apart first. I put it in my vise and experimented. Works awesome on a seth green rig in the fleas.
