  1. Limited out on Saturday but had to fish hard. Launched out of Sackets and just went straight out from the launch and stuck the boards in. Got them on spoons and sticks. Deep diving plugs, dipsies, shallow plugs, one on rigger, seemed like everything took fish. Here is some pics!
  2. I saw you out there. You were the only other boat I saw.. We did about the same, nothing great but boated some decent browns and a bunch of small ones.. We did the best just East of the chute in the darker water..
  3. Thats awesome to find them in the deeper water its a lot of fun catchin them down 100' on riggers. I'll probably give it a try next time out.. Thanks for the report!
  4. Depends on where your fishing out of.. Some areas have some serious boulders!
  5. Its def. about time they start protecting the Rainbows in the tribs! Hopefully this year they will all have spawned out and went to the lake by the time the "fishermen" get to fish them. I've already seen some huge rainbows in a couple Seneca Lake streams...
  6. Will - I didnt fish.. A couple guys I was supposed to head up there with bailed. I was going to go up by myself but when I woke up around 4:30 a.m. the wind report had switched to a strong West and I didnt feel like fighting the boat and trying to fish by myself. The wind just doesnt quit this time of year. Hopefully Sunday I'll be out on one of the Fingers. Glad you had a solid day though.
  7. Glad you got into em' Will.. Those blue diamond rods are awesome!
  8. I cant believe we made it home on the gas we had! It all worked out for the best ha!
  9. I could help out with whatever you need Nick. I have a lot of free time. I'm pretty much just hanging out on the boat until I go back to work in April I would like to see this tournament happen..
  10. Myers is closed.. Drove there the other day. Taughannock is the only launch I know of you could get your boat out of. I have a 21 foot aluminum and its really tight. I suggest having somone in the bow if possible to guide you out along the wall.
  11. Will, Thursday does look good, I'm going to try to get up there too. Hope you smash them
  12. I'm still holding you to that Brown Trout trip in the Spring Jeremy! The Baron has been striking all over the place! I didnt do to bad on Ontario today with her considering the wind..
  13. RodBuster - Got a call from triple A and someone went out of their way to call them and say they found my wallet. I was sick all day with no voice so had my girlfriend call the number they left with AAA and she talked with the wife. She said her husband who was fishing found it and it was in the porta-potty. No one could have launched out of Sodus and not many fisherman there so I'm wondering if it was you seeing as you were there? If it was, its nice to know there are people like you out there.. If it wasnt you I'd like to know who went out of there way because they deserve a rightful thank you. I'm not worried about the cash but about the contents, especially the TWIC card!
  14. They are great deep fried for sure!
  15. chowder - You got that right! Very underrated as a food source. I rather eat a laker than a Brown (sewer trout) any day! plus whoever says Lakers dont fight hard must not have caught many, especially this time of year!
  16. Yeah I showed up and ended up talking to a guy who let me know about the launch a couple miles west. Launched outta there and fished most the day. Pretty hard to steer with my canvas up I was like a kite out there! Found a nice patch of mud and pulled a bunch of browns out of it. We ended up with a dozen or so and lost a couple nice ones. Had a decent day. Me and the guy I followed over there were the only boats out. Ended up being an okay day until I discovered my wallet was gone somehow ! I think I might have dropped it at the coast guard launch. Here is a pic of a couple decent browns we caught today...
  17. Fished Seneca today with a bunch of guys. Ran boards in the morning but couldnt keep the weeds or the northerns off so I went out a little deeper to look for some Lake Trout. Found them in 35' to 50' and it was non stop all day. Didnt catch one under 3lbs. All very healthy fish. Decided to keep a box full so the guys could smoke em' Ended up with probably around 30 lakers boated and lost a bunch. A couple smaller browns on the rigger. Man do these fish fight on the copper! they just dont stop.
