Looking for an opportunity to mate part time on weekends (not all) in the oak orchard to olcott locations for the 2026 season. The reason being to get an idea what running a charter business is like as I have had the thought to start. Having said this I have my own boat and want to still fish with my family. So I guess my goal is more of a fill in mate honestly. I have fished as a mate on a charter boat out of fair haven (willing to give details if needed) and I have my own weekend warrior boat. As a weekend warrior my biggest accomplishment is winning the 2024 LOTSA 323 and big fish as well as the 2024 Summer LOC. if any current charter captains are willing to bring me onboard and educate please reach out
1. Can’t help
2. Yes release slow I also run them on a 3 setting to get them out and away
3. I run meat and flashers on riggers and dipsys
4. Some days 4 rods is plenty others could add more. I run 2 riggers and 2 dipsys most outings and occasionally throw in some coppers
5. Lead lengths vary depending on depth and water clarity. For spoons I tend to run them back 20-40ft on riggers. If running a flasher fly or flasher meat I shorten them to 8-10ft at most
Bought this to make a dive chart. I used it one day and still have original packaging. Pickup Rochester or meet weekends around oak orchard. Would ship buyer pays shipping
Asking $175.00
1: Penn 345 GTI reel with a Okuma classic pro glt copper/leadcore rod with backing $90obo (this was a 400ft copper)
2: same as above but spooled with 300ft atommik 45# copper $110obo
pickup oak orchard area or Rochester area
Sorry been awhile, I like the handle it’s not t shape but comfortable in hand. I also just like how smooth everything is with them. Lastly for some reason the clicker just seems louder to me than convectors
I purchased 4 30’s and ran them last year for the full season. 2 on rigger rods and 2 wire rods. My review is that I absolutely love them. In fact, I sold off my convectors because I liked them better and plan to get more soon
