    Extra hole in the bottom is never good. My current boat came with it and I had a slow leak till I reinstalled it. Use a reputable person and have them use 3m 5200 or even better DIY. If done right it is better than transom mounted under power. I can see pods of bait and large fish but it takes time to learn reading it.

    We thought of it yesterday but at the time of decision making fog covered the lake and we decided not to go.

    Tried to target them in the trench. I was the first guy out. Marked salmon and it was gone with first light. Went deep out to 150-170 and saw tonns of different bait. Lakers in all depth. No salmon. My friend enjoyed catching them so we stayed there.

    My friend has been killing them in front of Salmon river. My boat is on Point peninsula so it is about 25 mi boat tide to Salmon river. I want to learn how to target them in my area.

    If your connecting hub is blue it usually works

    Amish trolling bags is way to go. Very tough. It makes you boat to track better. I fish 50/50 by myself and it is easy to do solo. Set it up the way you like and make knots on front lines so you know how far back to let them go.

    Being new to the area I have to ask LOU community about lake trout in Henderson /Stony island area at this season. I did ok last fall for them but could not find them last weekend in shallow(50-60) ft. Help is greatly appreciated.

    How about sea worthyness of this boat? I know there ate 17 ft arimas on the lake. I need cuddy so my wifie who just started to fish with me can have her private moments. At the same time I do not want to compromise ability to fish/ troll.

    I set my eyes on 16 ft sea explorer in fantastic condition. Do you think it is too small? It is true, they are hard to find on our coast. The beam of 16 is 7.6'' I am from Bergen Co inNJ.

    I have been looking to move from my center console boat with 7.6 beam to wider boat with higher gunnels. My search led me to Arima boats They claimed to be very stable in the troll and easy on gas and produced for over 20 years on west cost for the rough waters there. Have you seen or experienced them in action in Ontario waters? They are 17,19 and 22 ft 8 ft beam boats. Mike

    Can you please provide with GPS coordinates (I know I ask for much) but my chartplotter does indicate any rapid elevations in that area and I troll in that area a lot. Thank you in advance!

    Had whitefish on the grill a week ago. Fantastic! Couple of pound fish went for a magnum spoon. I hope the kings would learn from their distant relatives whities how to bite! Mike

    Any other, negative experience? Did brown discoloration came off with Simple Green? I just used it to wash the boat after winter storage. It is great stuff to wash off surface gunk/oil/ greese but does very little to any discoloration in gelcoat. That is why I asked you about acids. They do magic (I was told ) to bring the colors back but are not good for trailer and user from what I gather. Mike

    I have 1990 boat in amazing shape without bottom paint. I have been keeping it on the trailer and launching it every time. It is a big pita especially early in the morning in hight of the season. What is the danger/ downside of keeping it for a month in the water on the marina of Salmon river. Are bottom cleaners/acids bad for yoour gelcoat? Do i expect to see lots of algae growth? Please, chime in. Mike

    I spoke to Yamaha tech service and they told me that trolling is worse for large engine than running due to suboptimal temperatures in the block and significant carbon deposits. I troll with large 2 strokes and I gun it for about 5 min wot on the way back. I would also use anti carbon additives like ring free.
