  1. We saw a boat in trouble yesterday, guys were putting on their life vests and waving to us. As we turned towards them to help, the boat capsized that fast and they were in the water and scrambling to climb on top of their now upside down center console. We scooped them up and managed to tie onto their boat. We called the coast guard and continued to tow the boat until we reached just south of the south dune. We had to cut her free when we got into about 7 feet when the Bimini started dragging and stuck on the bottom. I marked the coordinates so they could call a salvage company. We took them to their vehicle and they had to wait for the guys wife to bring the extra set of keys as his were locked in the capsized boat. They lost alot, but were grateful we were in the right place at the right time. The coast guard came after about a half hour and just stayed with us to monitor us towing his boat from 100ft depth to about 20, and had to turn around due to the shallow water. It felt good to hear the coat guard say that we seemed more than capable of towing them in, and we were happy to help them. Sent from my SM-G988U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. We went out of the little salmon and headed a bit west out to 200'. Meat was the top dog down 125 Sent from my SM-N950U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. Went 3/6 this morning, with my better half getting her first ever. 150-220, 100 down. Meat and f/f did the trick Sent from my SM-N950U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Had our shakedown yesterday out of Salmon Country. 30ft out to 100. Spoons, sticks, all colors. Didn't fire a rod. At least the boat ran great and the new Garmin ecomap showed lots of detail. Sent from my SM-N950U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Got a small one Sunday morning in front of Sandy pond in 120 near the bottom. Using a small luhr Jensen dodger and R&R Rocker spoon. Sent from my SM-G920V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. I should never have pulled my boat! Sent from my SM-G920V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. Just got a nice king 100 down over 140 right in front of Sandy Pond. Green hologram flasher and green krinkle fly Sent from my SM-G920V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Couple Lakers this morning on the bottom in front of Sandy Pond in 120 ft. Running 1 rod for Lakers all the rest for salmon hoping they start to show up Sent from my SM-G920V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Went Sat for our first trip ever out of the Genny. Went 5 for 5 with one mature king over 130 ft down 65 bullfrog flasher and green krinkle fly. Also got a steelie and laker on 5 color lead core and steelhead on blue/black R&R spoon. The only green that produced was the bullfrog f/f. Not a ton of quantity but good quality for our first time out we considered it a success Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. I go through it every weekend. it is shallow on the lake a couple hundred feet into the lake but passable. pond side is not too bad.
  11. Fished the North Pond dunes sat and sun. 6 for 8 sat, 4 Lakers and 2 Skippy's. Released one laker that would have placed in the ELOSTA tourney. Live and learn. Sunday was real slow so we went back to the bottom program and managed 4 more Lakers and another skippy. All on blue UV dolphin flasher and blue krinkle fly except one nice laker on white Spin Dr and white fly. 130-160 on the bottom. Running at the temp line didn't move a rod. 12. Went 2 for 2 sat with a decent laker. Both on the bottom of 150 with blue fish eye hologram flasher with blue UV fly. Went out for a couple hours on sun and managed 2 for 4 with a small laker and Skippy king in 120. Had a 10 color lead core with a UV spoon take a big rip but came unbuttoned. Also lost something big off the bottom with the same blue ff combo as the day before. Pulled quite a bit of drag and didn't feel like a laker. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. The worst part of the channel now is on the lake side. They did a great job dredging last year. A couple hundred feet into the lake and depth is just under 3 feet. I have used the channel for 3 years now and will donate this year to make sure it stays open. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Went 6 for 6 in front of sandy pond Sunday. 1 decent king the rest Lakers. All except one on blue hologram flasher and blue UV fly right on the bottom between 120 and 160. Made a 9 year olds day! Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
